January favourites 2020 πŸŽ‰πŸ₯°βœ¨

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

It takes me a long time to finally begin to write this post because I have been sick since Thursday night. I was vomiting 🀒 and had diarrhea and it was really the worst 😭. I think it was a stomach flu. Today is the first day that I’m eating again. I drank some soup, bread and my lovely mother made a soup with veggies and potatoes. It’s the time of the year to get sick. I hope you are all doing well and are healthy. We always appreciate our health the most when we are sick. We really take it for granted many times. I do the same. I did a lot of nice things in January which I love to share with you all. I will share about the birthday celebration with my friend in Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ, Three King’s Day πŸŽ‰, eating delicious tapas with my friend in The Netherlands and faced one of my biggest fears. In this post I will tell you all about it.

Things I did with my lovely family πŸ‘ͺ:

Watching the beautiful Christmas lights in Valladolid πŸŽ„βœ¨

Hhaha this is the last time I will mention Christmas in one of my blog posts until it’s Christmas time again πŸ˜‚. In Spain they let the lights until Three King’s Day which is the 6th of January. I love to walk around the city that time of the year with my mother because it’s soooo beautiful 😍. In Valladolid there are way more lights than in Haarlem. The city centre is beautiful. The plaza mayor where the city hall is full of lights πŸŽ„βœ¨, a Christmas tree and some attractions for the kids. On the city hall you can read the words Feliz AΓ±o 2020 which means happy new year.

Celebrating Three King’s Day πŸŽ‰

I love to celebrate Three King’s Day. I have so many celebrations because I’m bilingual. On the 5th of January my mother and I saw the procession of the Tree Kings. They were throwing candies 🍭🍬 and greeting the children. There’s also loads of music. It’s a big fiesta in Spain. The shops are open until midnight so that the parents can buy their presents. There were also beautiful fireworks πŸŽ†. The next day, I eat a roscon de reyes which is some delicious sweet and typical sweet of this feast. I also got nice presents which was champignon soup haha, chocolate and a beautiful poetry book from Alfred GarcΓa which is a Spanish singer.

Bought clothes from Stradivarius ✨

I wanted to give my mother a present too for Three King’s Day but at the end I use it because it was a bit small for her. I bought online some clothes from a nice shop called Stradivarius. I love Disney so much so I bought a sweater of The Lion King 🦁 and a t-shirt of The Little Mermaid πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ. Don’t you think it’s super cute?! πŸ˜πŸ’– It’s both so comfy – love it!!!

Faced my fear of going to the dentist πŸ’ͺ🦷

If it wasn’t for my mother I wouldn’t have been able to go to the dentist. Otherwise I would get pushed to go and that won’t work for someone who has anxiety like me. It’s strange to put this into my favourites haha because I don’t like going to the dentist πŸ˜‚πŸ˜’. Just the fact that I faced my fear and that everything went just so well was a big milestone for me. Plus the dentist is very handsome and caring and that makes it even better. I’m still anxious for the next three times I have to get rid of my wisdom teeth but hopefully it will go well too. I just hope to be less anxiety πŸ™πŸ€ž. I trust this dentist and his team which just makes the whole experience so much better. You can read how everything went in this blog post.

Watching Spanish series and talent show with mama πŸ“Ί

I LOVE TO WATCH SERIES WITH MAMA 😍. It’s really so fun haha. The worst is when we can’t sleep well because we are so into it. Everyday we watch the Spanish serie Amar es para siempre which is about the 70’s in Spain. On the 24th of January in 1977 there were some police men killing innocent lawyer who were working in an office in Madrid. They were from the communistic party. Right extremists police men came into their office and were looking for a man, didn’t find him and killed other innocent people. This happened in real life and is now showed in the serie. I didn’t know about this. It was really important because it was step into democracy in Spain. It was really horrible to see and some lovely actors died 😒. I had to cry a lot because of course these actors still live but they really killed innocent people which is just horrible. One woman called Cris lost his partner for the second time. Also that happened in real life. The lawyers now want justice and that they pay for what they have done. It’s so exciting now to see because we want to know everytime how it will go on.

We are also watching another serie called CuΓ©ntame cΓ³mo paso which is also about the past in Spain. It’s about a typical Spanish family living in Madrid. They are now in the 90’s. I find all these series so interesting because you really see how people were living that year. It’s so real, honest and so beautiful to wach. We also watch OperaciΓ³n Triunfo 🎢 which is again on tv. It’s Spanish talentshow where 16 concursants live together for three months in a singing academy. Every week there’s a liveshow and someone has to leave until the final where there’s a winner.

Hot chocolate time β˜•

I had a nice walk in the park with my mother when we got back to The Netherlands in January. It was pretty misty though but I loved the pictures I took. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate in the restaurant of the park. I love to live near to the park. It’s always so peaceful to walk there surrounded by beautiful nature.

Awesome things I did with my lovely friends πŸ’–:

Birthday celebration of my Spanish friend πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚

Me and my friend went to eat in a restaurant for the birthday of one of our friends. We ate so delicious. I drank Radler beer. That’s like almost the only one I like and I don’t drink almost any alcohol. We ate delicious chips, croquettes, chicken, eggs with potatoes and jamΓ³n serrano and fish. I’m getting hungry now haha πŸ˜‚. I didn’t eat the fish haha because I don’t like it that much. It was nice to see my friends again.

Eating tapas in La Cubanita in Haarlem πŸ˜‹πŸ΄

I finally saw my lovely friend from Irak again. It was almost one year since we didn’t see each other. I missed her so much. I’m so happy our friendship is still the same every time we see each other. Time didn’t pass at all. Our friendship is strong and forever. I’m so thankful for our friendship πŸ’–πŸ™. She came to Haarlem and first she visited my parents. I’m so happy my family is her family too. In the evening we ate together in La Cubanita. I love that restaurant because it has delicious tapas. We could eat as much as we want for just one prize. We ate jamΓ³n serrano with melon, manchego πŸ§€ with rucula, sweet potatoes with curry, tomatoes with mozarella, carpaccio, bread with tapenada and alioli and croquettes. As dessert I always eat delicious vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. We loved it all so much!!! I can’t wait to eat tapas again with you, have fun and just see each other much. LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK πŸŒœπŸŒ›πŸ’žβœ¨

Other amazing things of January ✨:

Watched Frozen 2 and Let it snow β„οΈβ›„πŸ¦„

I watched two amazing movies. I finally watched Frozen 2 and omggg I loved it so much 😍😍😍. I love Disney and this movie is so good. The first one is still my favourite but this movie was also so amazing. I love the visuals, the music and just everything. I have all the time ahhhhhh in my head when they sing the song Into the unknown. Elsa is the best and Olaf is soooo cute. I also watched the movie Let it snow which is based on the book from John Green. It’s about different couples. I really liked it. Maybe it’s a bit cliche sometimes but it’s okay. I really want to read that book now.

Taylor Swift documentary Miss Americana 😍🎢

I want to wear pink and tell you how I feel about politics

THIS WAS SOOOO UNBELIEVABLE GOOD πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ. This documentary. I really cried. Tay tay is my fav artist ever and I couldn’t wait to watch this documentary. I loved her already as artist and as person but after seeing this documentary I could only love her more. She went through hell during her career as being a female artist. She stood up for her rights, went through sexual assault and had so much hate said to her. I admire her so much for being real, honest and vulnerable. I’m so happy of her being the artist of the decade πŸ’ͺ. She is such a rolemodel. I’m happy she is now happier and in love and living the life she have always dreamt of and doing what she always wanted to do. I’m also happy that she is now making music with her own credits which nobody can take away from her. I loved the things she said, her cute cat, her lovely mother which I hope will recover from cancer soon. I loved to hear some old songs in the documantary such as Delecate, Getaway car, Call it what you want, All too well and of course The Man and You need to calm down are awesome. LOVE HER SO MUCH AND WISH TO MEET HER ONE DAY AND GO TO A CONCERT. PLEASE UNIVERSE ANSWER MY PRAYERS THANK YOU HAHA πŸ₯°βœ¨πŸ™.

Donating money for Australia Red Cross πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ™

I donated money for Australia Red Cross for the fires πŸ”₯ which were happening there. It wasn’t maybe much but every euro counts. The situation is better but there is still so much to do as the fire destroyed everything. It makes me so sad for the lovely animals 🐼🦘 living there and for the people. We can all do something to make this world a better place.

Receiving presents from Switzerland πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸŽ

We always receive lovely presents from the mother of my ex with Christmas. We also sent presents to them. This time it came when we just arrived from Spain. The big surprise with the presents was a letter where she wrote that my ex is going to marry this month in Singapor looool didn’t see that coming πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. I’m happy for him though. Thanks for breaking my heart but I still hope you are happy. Thank u, next haha. Our love was beautiful while it lasted but also had some things which I didn’t like. I wouldn’t tolerate anymore talking badly about women or some actions. I’m a feminist by heart and will always be. I loved the presents. My father got money to eat with my mother and I one day, my mother got soap, toilet bag and Victoria’s Secret fragnance and lotion (I will use it too haha love it!!!!) and I got a beautiful glossy toilet bag and perfume from Naomi Campbell Cat Deluxe. It’s awesome! πŸ’– I love all the brands they have in Switzerland and all the luxery but it’s soooo expensive always. Much better to get it for free. It’s so sweet of her to send to us so we are really thankful about that.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope you liked to hear about my favourites of January. What did you enjoy in January? What did you liked from the things I did? Did you also watched the documentary of Taylor Swift or Frozen 2? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina
