February favourites ๐Ÿ’ž๐ŸŒž

Hey lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

I’ve had a hard week last week with all what’s happening in the world right now. The pandemic of the coronavirus hit me hard. I wrote about all of it in this blog post. I felt really bad last week, my anxiety was sky high, cried a lot ๐Ÿ˜ข but since yesterday I feel a bit better. I feel a bit more hopeful, happier and calmer. Even though we are all suffering right now I find it important to feel all my feelings, the good and the bad ones. It’s okay to feel whatever we are feeling during this though time. I just have that feeling in my heart right now that we all will be well ๐Ÿ™. I believe in the good things coming. Bad times don’t last forever. That thought makes me feel more hopeful to get through each day. I also am doing a yoga challenge by Yoga Girl. It’s called #30daysofspace. I’m doing yoga and meditation every day ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ. If anyone of you want to do this too, you can find the free classes on this website http://www.yogagirl.com.

So, I’ve said what I needed to say before I begin with this blog post. I will share in this blog post my favourites of February. Something positive to share is always fine. Some things aren’t relevant anymore but I will still share them. In this blog post I will share about the tickets we bought to go to Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ, new stationery, presents I got from my friend and the walks I took in the park with my mother.

Things I did with my lovely family ๐Ÿ‘ช:

Bought fly tickets to Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธโœˆ๏ธ

My daddy bought fly tickets for my mother and I to go on the first of April and at the end of June. Unfortunately, we can’t go on the first of April because of the virus ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Spain is also on a lockdown and no flights are going. Fortunately, we could changed the tickets to go at the end of May. I hope that will be possible. Otherwise we still have tickets to go at the end of June till September. We do really hope to just enjoy Summer time and that this is all over soon. I love Spain so much. I miss it. My daddy also is going in August. Let’s hope it’s possible. It would be also otherwise a waste of money.

Drinking hot chocolate with pie at the Hema โ˜•๐Ÿ˜‹

I love the Dutch shop Hema so much. I went there some days with my mother in February. We drank a delicious mint tea, hot chocolate together with a delicious piece of pie. I ate one time a pie of chocolate and my mother had one of apple. It was all SO yummy! ๐Ÿ˜

Walks in the park ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒž

I love to live near to a park. I love to take walks in the park. There were some sunny days so we enjoyed it even though it’s still cold. After the walk we loved to drink a hot chocolate and some tea at the restaurant. It’s all closed now because of the virus. I feel grateful to have had these moments. I’m sure they will come again in the future.

Valentine’s Day ๐Ÿ’˜

I was super sick on Valentine’s Day. I had to vomit many times and had diarrhea. I love that my parents always care so good about me. My mother bought a yellow/orange rose for my daddy and a card. For me she bought a cute stuffed animal and a card. It made this day much better. I really do think that this day is not only a day for couples but also a day to celebrate with your friends and family. It’s about celebrating every form of love ๐Ÿ’–.

Stationery shopping at the mall ๐Ÿ›’

I bought a pack of ojo cute animals stickers and emoji stickers. I love to use emojis so much. If I don’t use them I find it boring or sad haha ๐Ÿ˜‚. Furthermore, I bought hangtag stickers with a wildlife and spring theme. They also have some cute quotes on them. Lastly, I bought finelines in the colours of red, blank and blue, universe washi tape, 50 envelopes and glue. You never have enough stationery haha!!

Easter theme stationery ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฃ

I also bought some beautiful new stationery with an Easter theme in Action, my favourite shop here. I bought loads of stickers with an Easter and Spring theme. The foam stickers have cute bunnies, chickens and sheeps on them. The Easter sticker sheets include 190 stickers. They are all so colourful. I love them all so much.

Watching The Red Turtle & The Little Mermaid ๐Ÿข๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ

I watched some nice movies with my parents. I watched The Red Turtle which is a movie directed by Michael Dudok de Wit. It’s produced by Studio Ghibli. It’s a kinda strange movie but I loved it. It’s beautiful made. Not much is happening in the movie but it’s very calming to watch it. I also watched The Little Mermaid with my mother. It’s really bad I hadn’t watch it before. I need to catch up on many Disney movies! I love this movie so much and I also have a shirt of it. I’m a mermaid forever ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ. I loved the music in this movie and the underwater world so much. It’s so beautiful.

Things I did with my friends ๐Ÿ’•:

Tickets for Eurovision Song Contest 2020 ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐ŸŽถ

I could have not placed this now on my favourites because it’s cancelled but I still was happy about it. I also think that the tickets are valid for next year too. I bought tickets for the family show because the liveshows were much more expensive. I can’t wait to go next year with my friend! Eurovision is one of my favourite events in the year and seeing the Netherlands winning last year was one of my most beautiful days in life. Duncan made history. It has been 44 years since The Netherlands didn’t won.

Presents from my friend ๐ŸŽ

My dear friend Shame came to my house at the end of January and we also ate some delicious tapas. I still didn’t share the presents I got from her for my birthday last year and Valentine’s Day this year. She got me a beautiful mug with a picture of us this Valentine’s Day. I loved it!!! I also got a beautiful Christmas card, birthday card, foaming shower gel from Rituals and Dove products such as shower oil and body lotion. It smells so well and makes my skin so soft. I also got some violet nail polish which is my fav colour ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿ’œ. I’m so thankful for these presents and for our friendship. Friends forevah! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™

Other amazing things of February โœจ:

Yoga with Adriene at home ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

I’m doing a lot of yoga and meditation right now at home. It helps me so much to stay grounded and more calm. I love Yoga with Adriene. You can find her videos on Youtube. I love the yoga mat I got from my brother and his wife for Sinterklaas last year. I’m using it every day now. I love the videos of calming my anxiety, releasing back pain and shoulder pain. Adriene is so amazing, love her!

Buying stationery online at Etsy ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

So I love to support small businesses because it’s so important. They have much more cute and amazing stuff. They are mostly handmade. I bought beautiful colourful and floral ๐ŸŒผ print envelopes from the shop AmethystCardsShop from France. They are so beautiful. I’m really happy about them. I also bought beautiful writing paper with animals on it such as panda’s ๐Ÿผ, cats ๐Ÿฑ and foxes ๐ŸฆŠ. This writing paper is from the shop MikuCatDesigns from Spain. I really like it. It’s too beautiful to use it haha.

New serie Luimelia ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

There’s a new amazing Spanish serie which is called Luimelia. I already love the Spanish serie Amar es para siempre (love is forever). Amelia and Luisita are already being actresses in this serie. They are representing a lesbian couple in the 70s in Spain. I love them so much. They are so beautiful ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒˆ. The spinoff of Luimelia is amazing as it shows their relationship nowadays. The serie also includes the theme of feminism, the lgbt+ community and social media. The episodes only last 10 minutes and there are 6 of them. It’s really nice. I loved it. They already announced a second and third season.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. What was your favourite thing from my list? Do you love my new stationery? Which Disney movie is your favourite? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love ๐Ÿ’•,

xoxo Christina

August favourites ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŽถ

Holaaaa lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

It’s time for another favourites post. I will share with you all what I did in August. I saw a lot of good movies, swam in the swimming pool, bought some awesome stationery, I bought The Album of Taylor Swift which came out last month and I did some other nice stuff as well. It’s less warm right now which is better but also makes me realize that Summer is ending soon. Summer is my fav season and I get always sad when Summer ends ๐Ÿ˜ญ. The dark Winter months make my mental health worse. I love the sunshine ๐ŸŒž . I’m just a Summer girl forevah! Right now, I have a bad cold. Hopefully I will feel better soon ๐Ÿ™ .

Things I did with my family ๐Ÿ‘ช:

I bought Taylor Swift Deluxe Album Version 4 ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽถ

I’M SO HAPPY YEAHHH!!!! I bought the beautiful new album Lover of @taylorswift at @elcorteingles when I was going out with my parents ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ‘ธโœจ๐ŸŒฅ I love it so much. My fav songs are Paper rings, Lover, YNTCD, London Boy and Soon you’ll get better. I really liked the conversation I had with the worker in El Corte Inglรฉs when I bought it. She said I was lucky because these deluxe versions where sold out that day. She deserve it all! ๐Ÿ’— Then she put the cd Lover on and said so you can get in the mood. It really made me so happy haha ๐Ÿ˜ I asked her if she also listened to it and she said yes and then she said it’s really nice. I’m so happy I have chosen Taylor Swift as my idol all my life. Tay Tay means so much to me. I love her personality. She’s always so kind, so lovely and so honest. She also got through a lot of though times. I’m so happy that this album is her own album with her credits. Being a fan is more than supporting just your favourite artist. It’s a way of life. They are more than just being an artist, they are a person and deserve their privacy and also I know they aren’t a kind of God.

I love her so much but I also know that she is just a human being who also suffer, cries, goes through though times as loosing the people we love and having a heartbreak ๐Ÿ’” . I wish people would think of this more when we love an artist and when we are supporting them. Often in this world it feels like famous people have those perfect lives when they haven’t. I always think that’s much more thougher to go through life being famous because you are always in the public eye. People judge a lot and that hurt. I’m just so blessed to have Taylor in my life. I have been following her for years now since Love Story came out. I was 17 years old and I was falling in love with my first love. It was that time that I listened to songs such as Fairytale and Jump then fall. I felt happy and so in love. Then I turned 19 years and had to go through a though heartbreak. There was Taylor with her music who got me through it. I’m so thankful for her music. I love the song Teardrops on my guitar and Our song.

Thank you Taylor for being such an amazing artist and person. I can’t wait to go to a concert of you! ๐Ÿ˜ You mean so much to me. I love you so so much ๐Ÿ’• xoxo

Drinking a tea and a piece of pie in hotel El Olid ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฅง

The day I bought the new album of Taylor Swift I also went afterwards to the hotel El Olid with my parents. I love to drink camille tea. I had a delicious chocolate pie and my mother had a piece of apple pie. We had a nice time together.

Eating chinese food with the family ๐Ÿฝ

We celebrated the first anniversary of the wedding of my brother Rafael and Verรณnica and the birthday of her mother all together with my mother and her brother in a chinese restaurant in Valladolid. The food was so good ๐Ÿ˜. I really loved it so much! We drank sangria ๐Ÿท which was so delicious. We ate rice, chicken, vegetables and noodles. It was really way too much food so we brang some food home for the next day. We had such a great time together. I had never been to this restaurant. It also looked very cozy, nice and the service was really good. I love Spanish food more but this dinner was also very delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹. We gave my brother and wife some cookies and a card and we gave the mother of Verรณnica some perfume and a card for her birthday. They loved it very much.

Going to the swimming pool ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŒž

I went another 6 times to the outdoor swimming pool this month. I’m a mermaid forevah! ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธNow they are closed again until next year which makes me sad. I only go to the swimming pool during the Summer but I really want to go during the Winter too. It’s just harder because I don’t like to wear wet hair outside when it’s cold outside. However, I enjoyed the last days in the swimming pool with my mother and my friend. I was reading The Great Gatsby these days too in the sunshine.

Carrefour shopping ๐Ÿ›’

I went to Carrefour one day which is a French multinational. It’s one of my favourite shops and supermarkts. I love that we have so many in Spain. I went one day with my mother to buy a SD card for my phone as the other didn’t work again. I also bought a book ๐Ÿ“™ which is about how to make good things happen to you. I heard a lot of great reviews about this book. The writer is a psychiatrist which knows all about mental illnesses and mental health. I hope this self help book will help to conquer my anxiety. I also bought some cup a soup which I always drink in The Netherlands. I also bought some crafts which I can use to sent washi tape to my pen pals or do something else with it. I’m also happy to have bought finally some beautiful Stabilo highlighters which I have seen always on mia‘s blog which is one of my fav bloggers here ๐Ÿ’•.

Shopping in Granada ๐Ÿ’—

When I went to Granada I bought some nice writing paper in a shop where they had books and stationery. The writing paper is very beautiful with a red rose on it ๐ŸŒน. In my favourite shop Alle-Hop which we don’t have in Valladolid I bought a golden shiny notebook, colourful markers, cute colourful bracelets, some nice mangets (one is for my daddy, one for myself with the donut on it and the other ones are for some good friends) and a lovely sticky notebook which 15 pages full of beautiful colours, unicorns and clouds. In a hippie shop in Granada I bought some beautiful postcards which I always love to buy in every place I travel to. I also bought in that shop some lavender soap and a beautiful box for it.

Movie night with my mother ๐ŸŽฅ๐ŸŒƒ

I saw some good movies with my mother because my brother fixed our television. It’s so nice to be able to watch movies and series on TV ๐Ÿ“บ . The movies we watched were Everything, Everything which is also the book I have read this Summer, Pitch Perfect 3, Coco, Mama Mia 2, Dumbo, Blue Jay and Toy Story 1. I loved Coco the most as we never watched it before. It’s such a beautiful movie with beautiful music. It made me realize the importance of family and made me learn that the people we loose in life will never be forgotten. They will always be there for us. I also loved Dumbo so much. I had never watched that Disney movie. I loved it and learned a lot about that movie such as there’s nothing bad about being different.

We also watched some Spanish movies such as La Llamada, Toc Toc and Ocho Apellidos Vascos. The one I loved the most was Toc Toc because it was about 6 people who had a mental illness which was OCD and there were all waiting in the waiting room for the doctor. They were all dated the same day at the same time. The doctor didn’t arrive because he was late from a flight. One only thinks in numbers, another one is afraid of virus and bacteria and another one checks everything at home all the time and is religious. There was also a man who was cursing all the time and saying inappropriate things. Then they begin to share their different OCD’s in the hope to find a cure. It’s such a crazy and funny movie. I think it’s really important to show mental illnesses in a positive light rather than always sharing the negative side of it. This movie definitely will make you feel less alone and will help the ones who suffer from it to know that it’s okay to be sick. There are always people who care about us.

Other amazing things of August โค๏ธ:

Trip to Gijรณn with my lovely friend ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธโ›ต

Our trip to Gijรณn last week was amazing! ๐Ÿ˜ It was definitely one of the best holidays evah. I love to discover new cities especially in Spain because every place I go is beautiful. The beaches in Spain are one of the most beautiful ones in the world. They are so wild, beautiful and amazing. Asturias is a beautiful region of Spain. I always get emotional when I have to go back home. I fall in love with every place I go. Asturias has beautiful nature, green landscape (because of the rain) and beautiful beaches ๐ŸŒŠ. The people are super friendly, helpful and outgoing. It didn’t rain at all. It was about 25 degrees and at night it was 22 so it was really such a perfect temperature.

Sometimes the sun was shining too. We went to the beach La Playa de San Lorenzo which is so beautiful. There were so many waves. I’m sad I didn’t surf again but I will do it soon. There were loads of people surfing, doing sup or swimming in the sea. We also swam in the sea which was awesome. The water temperature was 19.5/20 degrees which is really warm for the north. I loved it so much! ๐Ÿ˜ We ate delicious food and also from the region of Asturias such as fabada Asturiana which are bones with chorizo and sauce. We tried cider ๐Ÿป, had delicious breakfast, ate a delicious ice cream and loads of other good food ๐Ÿฒ. We also went to a beach bar called Pura Vida Bar to have breakfast there which was amazing. Pura vida always! โœŒ๏ธ We also enjoyed the night life which was crazy. We danced the nights away ๐ŸŽถ. There were so many people at the port โš“. I love the beach vibes so much. One boy came to me and said he liked my flower headband ๐ŸŒธโœŒ๏ธhaha forevah a hippie girl!

One night we met lovely people from Basque Country who were celebrating a bachelor party ๐ŸŽ‰. I have family there so it was nice to talk to them. It was so much fun! It’s so nice to meet people who only bring good vibes and respect you. There are so many good people in the world, you just have to find the right ones. We stayed in the Hotel Begoรฑa ๐Ÿฉ which was in the city centre and 15 minutes from the bars, beach and shops. I’m happy I went with my lovely friend ๐Ÿ’— Te quiero! Let’s keep travelling more and more!

Two years blogging anniversary ๐ŸŽ‰

I’m so happy with my achievement of two years blogging! Times goes by so fast. I wrote all about it in this blog post. Writing definitely heals my life and makes me so happy. I will do it all my life and will never stop writing. I’m so thankful to have met you all. This community is amazing. I love you all so much ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–.

Writing paper from UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ“„

I bought beautiful writing paper from a shop in UK online. I bought it from the shop Sweet Stationery on Etsy. It was so cheap and also the delivery was so fast. You get 26 pages from each design. One is with mermaids and another one is a girl with a flamingo. I find it so beautiful! ๐Ÿ˜ I also got free stickers from the shop. I can’t wait to buy more from this shop as I find it difficult to find writing paper in the shops. If anyone know more shops to find it, let me know. I will appreciate it.

10K views on my blog ๐Ÿ–ฅ

I was looking at my statistics of my blog and saw that I have reached 10K views ๐ŸŽ‰. I’m so happy about that. It means so much to me. 10.000 views on my blog wow it sounds so much! I also have almost 400 followers. I hope my blog will continue growing. Much love to you all!

May favourites ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒž

Hola lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

May was a great month where I spend much time with my family and also with my friends. In this post I’m going to tell you about my favourites in May such as stationery shopping, my early birthday celebration with my friends, celebrating Mother’s Day in The Netherlands, The Netherlands winning Eurovision๐ŸŽ™๏ธand much more. I hope you will all like it.

Things I did with my family ๐Ÿ‘ช:

The Netherlands winning Eurovision Song Contest 2019 ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐ŸŽถ

For me this was the most important event which happened in May. I wrote a whole blog post about it which you can read here. Duncan Laurence represented The Netherlands with the beautiful song Arcade, a story about hope and loss. I’m so happy to have experienced this feeling of seeing my country winning Eurovision with my mother. It’s just such a beautiful feeling full of emotion, happiness and excitement. I will never ever forget this night. The 18th of May will be forever in my mind. He wrote history. After 44 years The Netherlands finally won Eurovision. Now, it’s time for Spain to win too! I can’t wait to see Eurovision live next year.

Thank you Duncan for making me so proud of you, your music and just everything! I love you so much ๐Ÿ’• I already also bought tickets for his concert in Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam in March 2020. He is going to do a tour this year in The Netherlands and in Europe. He will sing in the greatest venue which is The Ziggo Dome next year. I’m so excited to go to his concert with my friend! ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽถ

Celebrating my early birthday with my family ๐Ÿ‘ช

I had a great afternoon celebrating my early birthday with my family in May! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽ I celebrated it earlier because of going to Spain. We ate delicious apple pie ๐Ÿฐ from the Hema and went to the park. My daddy put whipping cream in the mouth of my niece hahaha it was so funny ๐Ÿ˜‚ I got some nice presents and cards which I didn’t open until my birthday. I’m going to share that with you all in my birthday haul. I love to save the gifts and cards because they mean a lot to me. Especially a handwritten letter means the world because a person takes the time to write you something personal. Thank you all so much! I love my family so much ๐Ÿ’–

Celebrating Mother’s Day ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒท

We celebrated Mother’s Day in The Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ with my family (my parents, my brother, his wife and her brother and mother). It was so nice to be all together. I gave my mother a beautiful flower bouquet with different flowers and colours. I love Greetz.nl so much! The service and quality is amazing ๐Ÿ˜. I also gave her a handmade card.

My brother Rafael gave her beautiful yellow roses, Milka chocolate and a card. My other brother Edward gave her also beautiful pink, violet flowers and a card. It was a beautiful surprise to get it when we were eating. The food was so delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹ We ate meat, salad, potatoes, bread, fruits, ice cream and much more. What I love the most was the delicious Spanish tortilla de patata which the mother of Verรณnica made.

Family time in the Cruquius ๐Ÿ’—

Me, my mother, the brother and mother of Verรณnica went an afternoon to the Cruquius. That’s near to my house. I went with the bike and felt a bit dizzy afterwards because there was some wind. I’m not used to go biking anymore. We enjoyed a delicious lunch. I love bread with kroket which is typical Dutch food! I also loved the heart candies. It was great weather. I went with my bike ๐Ÿšฒ and we also walked. Afterwards, we took the ferry boat to go the Molenplas which is the park near to my house. We also saw the lovely ๐Ÿฎ cows. We had such a nice time together!

Sunny days in the garden ๐ŸŒž

I love to be in my garden in The Netherlands. It’s nice to enjoy the sunshine there with my mother. In Spain we don’t have a home with a garden just an apartment. I just love to have a garden so much ๐Ÿ’• It’s relaxing to enjoy the sunshine and just be present that moment. I love to read there too. I was reading in that moment the poetry book “Moon theory” from Robert M. Drake which is beautiful.

Eating delicious ice cream ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿจ

I ate delicious ice cream with mamita during a day we went to the shopping centre near to my house. I love ice cream with sprinkles. I always ate this ice cream when I was younger and I still do it. It brings me so much good vibes and it is so yummy mmmm! ๐Ÿ˜

Stationery shopping ๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿ›๏ธ

I went to my favourite shop called Action in The Netherlands and bought a lot of nice stationery. I’m so addicted to buy stationery. I love everything and I can’t wait to use it to write beautiful letters to my pen pals. I bought some amazing stickers, sticky notes, pens, washi tape and cards to make. I also loved the awesome quotes and thoughts about astrology and the universe which I bought ๐ŸŒŒโœจ

Trip to Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ

Right now, I’m in Spain since last Tuesday with my mother. It was an early flight which I always hate but we survived it haha. I don’t like flying at 7 o’clock since I didn’t sleep anything that night and felt dead lol. However, I’m always happy to be in Spain. I can’t wait for Summer time to travel with my friends, go surfing ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธ, go to the beach ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒž and just have fun. It was really hot last weekend like 34 degrees. Right now, it’s around 20 degrees but there’s some wind so it feels cold. The weather is really crazy. The nights are also cold like 7 degrees. In The Netherlands it’s stormy now. I’m sure Summer time will come soon.

Things I did with my friends ๐Ÿ’•:

Celebrating my early birthday at Hart Beach ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒž

I had such a great time with my friends three weeks ago at my favourite restaurant Hart Beach. I was anxious to go because I didn’t sleep enough because of feeling so excited and so much emotions because the night before was the final of Eurovision. I love this surf ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™€๏ธ restaurant so much. I also went surfing with Hart Beach in the past. I can’t wait to go surfing again. I’m thankful for my lovely friends and the lovely presents they gave me. I love the food and service so much here. Alohaaaa pura vida vibes! ๐Ÿ’—โœŒ๏ธI can’t wait to go back.

I had a children’s menu and it was much food and so good! I loved the chicken nuggets, salad and potatoes. My friends ate another children’s menu with hamburger, some vega food, sweet potatoes and salad. They have such good food to choose from. I also enjoyed a delicious sunset smoothie with papaya, mango, coco ๐Ÿฅฅ, and apple. As dessert we enjoyed a delicious pie and dame blanche which is vanilla ice cream with warm chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It’s my favourite dessert ever ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿจ. I always choose that whenever I go to a restaurant.

It was really cold so unfortunately we couldn’t sit outside. Almost every time I go to the beach in Holland it isn’t that great weather ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ–๏ธ Hopefully, next time better. I really enjoyed spending time with them all and seeing my friends again. Having family and friends is so important in life because they make you happy. I’m so grateful to have all these good people in life who always cheer me up and with who I can have fun with. I love you all SO much! ๐Ÿ˜˜

My besties birthday party ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚

My besties birthday was on the 21th of May but she celebrated it Friday the 24th of May. I was also anxious to go to this party because sometimes I feel a pressure to drink when I don’t want. I don’t take antidepressants anymore for my anxiety since it didn’t help anymore. I take sometimes a benzo. However, I just don’t want to drink much alcohol anymore. I also feel sometimes anxious in groups of people I don’t know.

I had a great time and was happy that I went. I had some good talks with a nice girl from her class. It felt great to speak up about my bullying experience since I’m not alone in this. I also had a great time talking to her family which I know very well. I only drank a bit of wine ๐Ÿท which is okay and there was delicious food such as nachos with guacamole, bread with aioli and a delicious pie called mon-sou made by her girlfriend ๐ŸŽ‚ It was a pie with cherries ๐Ÿ’, biscuits and whipping cream. I loved it!

Concert of Alfred Garcia ๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽธ

There is no better way to celebrate your birthday with a good concert. Last Friday before my birthday I went to the concert of Alfred Garcia with my good Spanish friend ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’• It was awesome! He is such an amazing artist. He is humble, honest and sensitive. He is different than other artists and that’s what I love the most about him. Some may call him strange but I call that being authentic. Being authentic in a world where society constantly tries to change you is such a beautiful thing to be. He is an amazing singer-songwriter.

I love all his songs of the album 1016 and of course I have his album at home. Buying the music is really important for an artist. My favourite songs of him are definitely “Por si te hace falta” where I cried and felt so happy to have my friend by my side, “Londres”, “Wonder”, “Que nos sigan las luces”, “Et vull veure” and “De la tierra hasta marte”. All his songs are beautiful though.

Thank you Alfred for being such an amazing artist ๐Ÿ’—. We met Joe who was the jury in Operaciรณn Triunfo, the talentshow where Alfred was part of. Your concert was amazing. He was also sick that day but your voice was beautiful as always. I’m thankful for your music who always make me feel so many emotions. Thank you for being always so supportive, speaking up about mental illnesses, and making this world a better place to live in ๐ŸŒ. I’m thankful to live in a world where there exists such amazing artists like you. Thank you for everything. I’m sad we couldn’t meet you but hopefully we will meet you soon. Stay the way you are ๐ŸŒŸ I love you loads ๐Ÿ’•.

Another awesome thing of May:

Taking a bath with a Lush bath bomb ๐Ÿ›€

I bought a nice Lush bath bomb online and used it in The Netherlands since we don’t have a bath in Spain. It was the bath bomb called Groovy Kind Of Love full of beautiful colours ๐ŸŒˆ. It’s amazing for a hippie girl like me. I loved the colours in the beginning. However, the colour which lasted was pretty ugly haha some yellow bath ๐Ÿ˜‚. The bath bomb consisted of rose, bergamot and ylang ylang oils. It was really relaxing. I love to take a bath. That’s what self care is for me.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. What were your favourites from my list? What did you enjoy in May? Could you already enjoy Spring time in your country? ๐ŸŒž Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love ๐Ÿ’•,

xoxo Christina

Duncan Laurence from The Netherlands won Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song Arcade!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

OMGGGG HI LOVELIES ๐Ÿ’•,

I’m so excited. I just can’t hide it. I’m about to loose control and I think I like it hahah ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽถ. I just needed to write this blog post because I feel so emotional and so excited since Saturday night. I felt it already these months when I heard the song Arcade. This blog post will about how I experienced one of the best nights in my life which I will never ever forget. I will write about the victory of The Netherlands winning Eurovision Song Contest 2019 after 44 years. I will also share more about who Duncan is as a person and artist.

I’m such a eurofan and I’ve always been. I love Eurovision Song Contest so much. It’s my favourite music event of the year. I’m always looking forward to it. I’m always most looking forward to the songs of The Netherlands and Spain. I also love to hear the songs of other countries. I’m into pop, indie, latin music, some house music, classic and choir music which I used to sing in my choir and I just love music so much. It makes me the happiest person on earth ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ˜. Going to a concert and seeing your favourite artist live is just the best thing ever. Meeting them in person and talking with them is even better. Getting a picture with them is just the best too.

I get inspired by many artists and what I find the most important thing of an artist is that they are authentic, stay true to themselves and can be vulnerable. So, the first time I heard that Duncan Laurence was going to represent The Netherlands this year I was like who?! Who is that? Normally popular and famous artists of The Netherlands go to Eurovision. Last year Waylon went and in 2014 The Common Linnets went which were Ilse DeLange together with Waylon. They song a beautiful song which ended at the second place. The song was a lovely country song called “Calm after the storm.”

The Common Linnets – Calm after the storm (Eurovision Song Contest 2014)

So first in January they said that Duncan Laurence was going to represent The Netherlands. I saw some videos of him singing in The Voice of Holland on Youtube and was already impressed by his beautiful voice. He reached the semi-finals. He had as coach Ilse DeLange.

Duncan Laurence – Sing (The blind auditions of The Voice of Holland of 2014)

Then I also listened to the video below which is especially made as an assignment for the Rock Academy. After singing in the Voice of Holland he went to the Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg. He made his own version of the song “Stolen Dance” by Milky Chance. It’s one of my favourite songs and hearing it with Duncan’s voice gave me goosebumps and makes me cry every time ๐Ÿ˜ญ. His voice is so pure and so beautiful. I could listen all day and all night to it ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽถ

Another video I found on Youtube of a song he wrote called “Come back Home”

He is such an amazing singer-songwriter. I’m really so impressed. He went through a hard time during his school years because he got bullied. He got bullied because of being different. He wore braces, had glasses and a different body size. He found his passion of music through this experience. He could be himself when he was making music at home and also in the Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg. Music was his safe place where he could be his self. He also told in some interviews how he was covered in his insecurities. He was afraid to be open and vulnerable.

Writing his song Arcade in The Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg

He also said that it is important to not build a wall. It reminds myself of my own experience with bullying. I build a wall and I still haven’t break it fully like it still influences me as a person when someone is rude to me. I think often when I hear a stranger laughing that it’s about me. I still have to break this wall just like Duncan did. The most beautiful words of him during an interview in Tel Aviv in Israel where these ones:

“Don’t build a wall. Don’t focus on the ones who don’t like you, stick to the ones who like you and love you and inpire you. I tried to change myself and focused too much on the ones who didn’t like me.”

I so agree with what he said because it’s just so true. Whenever I’m with my family or good friends I feel happy because they love me for who I’m and accept me. Those are the people who you need in life and not the toxic ones. Being bullied isn’t our fault. Most of the time the bullies are insecure themselves. I wrote about my experience of bullying in this blog post. He also said that with his music he wants to be the voice for those who have a soul which is damaged by others. He is going to tell their stories and let us see that we aren’t alone. He such a bubbly, beautiful and humble pereson that I tear up ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ญ

Ilse DeLange was his coach in The Voice of Holland and always had contact with Duncan after he participated in this talentshow. Two years ago he was writing the song “Arcade”. He put that song together with other songs in a Dropbox file. Ilse heard this song and was impressed. A few months ago before Eurovision began she called him on a Sunday morning and asked him if he wanted to represent The Netherlands this year. The whole delegation of The Netherlands was impressed by this song. Of course he said YEAHHHH and then the adventure began. I don’t want to repeat myself because I already told a lot about this song in other posts like in this post. There I sang my own cover of Arcade ๐ŸŽถ.

โ€œโ€˜Arcadeโ€™ is about a lost love. And hoping for that love to return. But it doesnโ€™t. All the emotion, rawness, bitterness, angriness or happiness or hope that comes within that. Thatโ€™s what I tried to capture in โ€˜Arcadeโ€™. It is indeed a story about myself, about a love that I once lost when I was younger.โ€

Duncan lost someone very special in his life. This woman only turned 40 years old. She was hoping that her love came back but he didn’t. She stayed in love with her loved one until she died. Duncan wrote this song about that story. The song, lyrics, melody everything describes these real feelings and emotions. It’s so honest and vulnerable just WOW. He is naked in the clip and you can see his butt haha which is very beautiful indeed.

Duncan Laurence – Arcade (Official Music Video for Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel)

โ€œWe tried to capture the vulnerability of a human being. The most vulnerable you can be is naked. Being completely nude leaves you all vulnerable in that massive water world, with the surface representing the hope and everything you long for. The struggle, the fight that comes with it to get there. That is what we try to capture.โ€

Since I listened to this I have had winner vibes. I knew this song could win because it’s the best song I’ve heard. I get so emotional and have goosebumps all the time I listen to this song. I’m even thinking now to get a tattoo with something of the lyrics of this song. My favourite sentence is: “Loving you is a loosing game.” I’m afraid of needles so don’t know if I will get a tattoo but this just sticks in my head. Since he released his song he was number one in the bookmakers and that didn’t change.

I watched everything from Eurovision such as all his interviews which were so nice to see. I watched the first semi-final of Eurovision last week even though he didn’t had to sing. He was singing in the second femi-final which was last thursday on the 16th of May. It was incredible and I had to cry so much. My father only watched that song with me because he doesn’t like Eurovision. I always watch it with my mother. Of course he passed through the finals which was last Saturday the 18th of May. I was so happy when they said The Netherlands as second name to pass. Normally they say it almost at the end.

Duncan performing his song Arcade during the second semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Singing Arcade during the second semi-final

He sings Arcade every time so beautiful and every time it’s different. I like that so much because you can feel the emotion. He really feels it at that moment and sings it from his heart. During the final he had to sing at the 12th place and it was even better and more beautiful than in the semi-finals. It’s just incredible how good and beautiful he sings. I feel his emotion all the time when he sings it ๐Ÿ’•. We all feel it. We can all relate to this story.

THE FINAL PERFORMANCE!!!!
The Netherlands – Live performance of Arcade from Duncan Laurence

I was so nervous and anxious this whole week too and couldn’t sleep well. It even felt like I had to sing hahah instead of Duncan who always stayed calm. I was just so excited of thinking that he could win ๐Ÿ˜‚. During the jury votes I was getting so nervous. I was happy when we got 12 points from Portugal, Sweden, France, Israel, Lithuania and Latvia. Thank you so much! Sweden won the jury votes but everyting could change during the televotes. They begin with the last country and told every country how much televotes it got. The Netherlands got 261 which made them first. I was already so excited but there was only one country left to tell them their points which was Sweden. If they got more points than The Netherlands they would have won. Duncan was so nervous and me too. We all were. At the end they said 93 points for Sweden.

THE NETHERLANDS WON YEAHHH!!!

I began to scream and cry so hard. This was definitely one of the best nights in my life. I couldn’t sleep well that night. I had also stomach cramps but I already have them these months so it’s not only because of Eurovision I guess. My father was sleeping so I didn’t scream that hard hahah ๐Ÿ˜‚. He doesn’t understand all my emotion and happiness around it. It’s just incredible that an unkown artist won with such a beautiful song. I’m also a highly sensitive person so everything makes me feel so much. I feel every emotion deep. My country, The Netherlands won after 44 years! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ™๏ธ I still can’t believe we are going to organise Eurovision next year. My dream is seeing it live so I hope I can get tickets. My dream was also to see The Netherlands or Spain win so I’m so happy and so proud! ๐Ÿ’ช

His winner’s performance was so emotional too. Hearing the crowd singing the song is just the best feeling ever. He also was looking up to the sky because he sings this song to the one he lost.

Duncan wrote history. Everyone knows him now. His song is number one in many iTunes charts. I will never get tired of this beautiful song or of him. I love him so much ๐Ÿ’—. I’m so grateful to have a new artist in my life who I admire so much. He is already writing more songs so I can’t wait to hear them. I also would love to see him live. All his concerts are sold out now. His voice makes me crack my soul open and make me feel so many feelings. I have to admit that this song also reminds me of my break up with my first love ๐Ÿ’” I kept hoping after I lost him that he would come back but until today he didn’t. Maybe that’s why I get so emotional with this song. I can still feel how my heart broke but I also feel the hope in this song. There will be new people to love and experiences to live.

Duncan kissing the trophy of Eurovision. He really deserved to win!
“This is for dreaming big, this is to music first, always!” – Duncan Laurence

Thank you Duncan for being real and from growing from a wallflower to a beautiful artist who stand for things. He is bisexual and open about it. He told about his bullying experience. He is honest. He is vulnerable. I’m so thankful that you are real in this sometimes fake and dark world. Thank for coming in our lives. You give me hope in my life to reach my dreams ๐ŸŒ โœจ. Thank you for making us happy and feel inspired. You are one of my fav artists now. I will never stop loving you ๐ŸŽถ. Loving you is a winning game! ๐Ÿ˜โœจ i love u forever cutieeee ๐Ÿ’—

In Tel Aviv, Israel. He such a cutie just look at him. I get so angry that kids bullied him because he is such a beatiful person inside & out.
Duncan singing live an acoustic version of Arcade on De Wereld Draait Door before he went to Israel

Life wouldn’t be the same without music. It makes us feel things, we feel less alone and it will never leave us. I will also keep singing as I love to sing. I don’t know if being famous is something for me but joining a choir again or having singing classes would be amazing. I would love to learn guitar or piano too one day. I miss that so much to be honest ๐Ÿ˜ญ. With singing I can release emotions and it makes me so happy ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope you find this post as inspiring as I found it to write it. What do you think of the song Arcade and the story behind it? Did you watch Eurovision? Do you also tear up with beautiful songs? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love ๐Ÿ’•,

Loving you is a loosing game ๐ŸŽถ

Hey lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

It’s time again for a singing cover ๐ŸŽถ. I once shared a cover from the song Supermarket flower by Ed Sheeran in this post. I hope you all like this cover I made a few days ago. As a eurofan of Eurovision Song Contest I wanted to make a cover of Arcade from Duncan Laurence who will represent The Netherlands in Eurovision this year ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ .

You can listen to my cover here:

Cover Arcade – @itsduncanlaurence ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ . I spent all of the love I've saved We were always a losing game Small-town boy in a big arcade I got addicted to a losing game Ooh, ooh All I know, all I know Loving you is a losing game @itsduncanlaurence will represent The Netherlands with this beautiful song called Arcade in Eurovision Song Contest this year. Thursday is the second semi final and I hope that Duncan will go to the finals and of course win Eurovision! Every time I listen to this song I get emotional and cry. It makes me feel so much. All the feels. It's a beautiful song and has a beautiful melody which I can't get out of my mind. The lyrics is so good too. Duncan is an amazing singer songwriter. I love him because he is so down to earth, bubbly and sensitive ๐Ÿ’• He is such a cutie. Everything about this song and about him is WOW. I can imagine how many people can relate to this song and get emotional when they listen to it. The videoclip was made in the water. His inspiration came from a loved one that passed away at an early age. She was hoping for her loved one to come back but he didn't. Arcade is a story about the search for the love of your life. Itโ€™s about the hope to reach something that seems unreachable. The water surface in the video represents the hope. The nude reflects the vulnerability and perhaps the rebirth from the hope. We all can relate to this story in our own lives too like when a dream can't be reached, when someone is dying or when you heart is broken and you are still longing for that person to come back. I really do hope The Netherlands wins after 44 years with this unbelievable beautiful song which gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. If a song can make you feel so much emotion and if the singer also brings that emotion to the audience then for me it's definitely a winner ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜ I really want to be able to see The Netherlands and also Spain win Eurovision Song Contest for once in my life. Music of March ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’—

Hey lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

In this post I will share you my favourite songs from last month March ๐ŸŽถ. I’m sharing a lot of Spanish songs too and hopefully you like them too. I will share some older songs too which I loved listening to. I have a cold right now and feel bad but still wanted to post. Blogging always makes me so happy ๐Ÿ’—โœจ

Duncan Laurence – Arcade (Eurovision The Netherlands)

A broken heart is all that’s left
I’m still fixing all the cracks
Lost a couple of pieces when
I carried it, carried it, carried it home
I’m afraid of all I am
My mind feels like a foreign land
Silence ringing inside my head
Please, carry me, carry me, carry me home

Loving you is a loosing game”

Duncan will represent The Netherlands in Eurovision. I already wrote a lot about him and this song in my latest blog post. Every time I listen to this song I cry and feel emotional. It’s so beautiful and touching. The story is also so beautiful. His inspiration came from a loved one that passed away at an early age. Arcade is a story about the search for the love of your life. Itโ€™s about the hope to reach something that seems unreachable. The water in the video symbolizes the hope.

Miki Nรบรฑez – La Venda (Eurovision Spain)

Miki will represent Spain in Eurovision this year. I already shared this song in this post. The video clip was released in March so I had to put it here. I love it ๐Ÿ˜. This song and video brings only good vibes and an authentic Spanish fiesta ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ƒ

Luca Hรคnni – She got me (Eurovision Switzerland)

Luca will represent Switzerland in Eurovision this year. I love the song and the clip. It’s an upbeat song and also reminds me of Spain and the song “Despacito from Luis Fonsi”. I think it will do well on Eurovision.

Alejandro Sanz & Camila Cabello – Mi persona favorita

This is such a beautiful song ๐Ÿ’•. Alejandro Sanz is a famous Spanish singer. I love that he made this song with Camila. Their voices fit perfectly. This song is about Alejandro’s favourite person, his little child. I also love hearing Camila sing in Spanish. She sounds so good!

Sofia Ellar – Baรฑarnos en vaqueros

Sofia Ellar is one of my favourite Spanish singer-songwriters. I loved going to her concert last year as it’s so personal and all her songs are amazing. She just released this new single. It’s about bathing in jeans. In the clip you also see her dancing and bathing with her jeans in the sea. She sings about how about being alone is okay and feels good. I loved the good vibes and I’m just so in live with her voice ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I also love her hippie personality and how authentic she always is. That’s how I love to live my life too, as authentic and staying as true to myself as possible.

Ava Max – Sweet but psycho

“Oh, she’s sweet but a psycho
A little bit psycho
At night she’s screamin’, “I’m-ma-ma-ma out my mind”
Oh, she’s hot but a psycho
So left but she’s right though
At night she’s screamin’, “I’m-ma-ma-ma out my mind”

Omgggg this song ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I’m in love. Yes I have been living under a rock because I just listened to it. It was on the radio in Spain a lot. Ava Max is amazing. This song is just such a bop. It’s so addicting to listen to this song a million times. I will never get bored. It makes me very happy ๐Ÿค—

Jonas Brothers – Sucker

I’m so happy The Jonas Brothers are back!!! It reminds me of my memories with watching Camp Rock. It was released at the end of February but I listened to it now. I love this song. It has a fancy melody and it’s just really nice.

James Bay ft. Julia Michaels – Peer pressure

They sound so good together. I really like James Bay and Julia Michaels. Julia sing so good with so many artists such as with Niall Horan too. I really like this sweet song.

Sebastiรกn Yatra & Reik – Un aรฑo

I love these two singers so much! This song is so beautiful. It’s about a long distance relationship, a love you didn’t see for one year and they sing about that love is strong enough to survive that. I also really love these kind of songs sang in Spanish because it makes it more romantical. Spanish is a very romantic language.

ROSALรA & J Balvin – Con Altura

I LOVEEEE ROSALรA SOOO MUCH. She’s one of the most popular artists right now in Spain and internationally too. I already wrote about her in this post. I love her album “El mal querer”. This song is different than what she normally makes but it’s nice. This is more the reggeaton genre than pop or flamenco. J Balvin also sings reggeaton songs.

Mark Ronson ft. Miley Cyrus – Nothing breaks like a heart

“This world can hurt you
It cuts you deep and leaves a scar
Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart
And nothing breaks like a heart”

I’m always late to the party hahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I just listened to this song right now and a lot in Spain because it was on the radio a lot. I loveeee it. I have to admit that I don’t know Mark Ronson. I love the powerful voice of Miley. It sounds amazing. I also can relate so much to the lyrics. It’s true that nothing breaks you more than a heart ๐Ÿ’”.

Julia Michals – Deep

I really want to go one of her concerts as I never went before. I love her every day more and more. She’s so authentic and lovely. This song is on her newest album “Inner monologue part 1″ which was released in January. The video clip of the song was released in March. I love this song. I can’t wait for the second part of her new album.

Julia Michaels – Apple

The video clip of this song was also released last month. It’s so beautiful with all the flowers ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒน. This is one of my favourite songs from her new album together with the song “Anxiety”.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. What was your favourite song from my post? Which music did you listen to last month? What’s your favourite artist/music genre? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love ๐Ÿ’•,

March favourites ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒž

Hey lovelies ๐Ÿ’•,

Today I will share you my favourites from the month March. I also felt sad and very anxious because of the upcoming interview for the internship in the 5 stars hotel in Spain which I shared in my last post. I want to share you some of my favourite things from March such as Spring time, delicious Spanish and Mexican food I’ve eaten, concert tickets I bought, travel trips, my favourite song I’ve listen to and much more. It’s great to reflect on the positive things ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’—.

My favourite song of the month ๐ŸŽถ:

The Netherlands, Duncan Laurence – Arcade

“I spent all of the love I’ve saved
We were always a losing game
Small-town boy in a big arcade
I got addicted to a losing game

Ooh, ooh
All I know, all I know
Loving you is a losing game”

I love Eurovision Song Festival so much. Every year I watch it with my mother. I love to hear the songs of all the countries. Music unites people. Since I heard the song of The Netherlands I was in awe. I couldn’t stop listening to this masterpiece. Duncan Laurence will represents The Netherlands with the song “Arcade”. The music video is so beautiful. I’m crying every time I hear it and watch it. This song is so beautiful and special. It gives me all the feelings. It’s so unique, vulnerable, honest and sensitive. He sing so beautiful, the lyrics is beautiful and the whole melody and chorus and everything is just WOW. Duncan is a 24 year old boy who studied at the RockAcademy in Tilburg. I love that for once The Netherlands is sending an unknown artist. I love to discover new music and artists.

He made this song during his studies at the RockAcademy. His inspiration came from a loved one that passed away at an early age. Arcade is a story about the search for the love of your life. Itโ€™s about the hope to reach something that seems unreachable. The water surface in the video represents the hope. The nude reflects the vulnerability and perhaps the rebirth from the hope. I really do hope The Netherlands for once wins with this unbelievable beautiful song which gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. If a song can make you feel so much emotion and if the singer also brings that emotion to the audience then for me it’s definitely a winner ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜ I really want to be able to see The Netherlands and also Spain win Eurovision Song Contest for once in my life.

My favourite serie I watched ๐Ÿ“บ:

Cuรฉntame Cรณmo Pasรณ

Cuรฉntame Cรณmo Pasรณ is also known as Remember when and is a Spanish television drama series. It’s the longest running prime-time series in the history of television in Spain. The 20th season has started last week on Thursday and I’m so happy. I love to watch it with my mother. I’ve watched almost all episodes until now. The serie is about the experiences of a middle-class family, the Alcรกntaras, during the last years of the rule of Francisco Franco and the beginning of the Spanish transition to democracy. You learn so much about the history of Spain because they tell you it. So many series in Spain are based on the past. I also love all the actors so much. I feel so much watching it. I cry with them and laugh.

Spanish serie Cuรฉntame Cรณmo Pasรณ picture

My favourite gifts I got/I bought ๐ŸŽ:

Perfume Paco Rabanne and O’Neill sweater

I went to eat soup in the church with my mother and a friend of her. I love that friend so much. Afterwards, we went to her home and she gave me some nice gifts which she always does. I love people who are so generous. Last time she also gave me the perfume from Paco Rabanne. This time she gave me the one of Lady Million Eau my gold! It smells so good. Does anyone have this perfume? I also got a beautiful pink sweater from the surf brand O’Neill. My mother also got a bunch of clothes just all for free. So sweet! The perfume was new and the clothes were never used.

Concert tickets for the concert 1016 from Alfred Garcia

Last month I bought concert tickets for the concert 1016 from Alfred Garcia. I bought it the same day the tickets were on sale. I love concerts and I miss going to concerts so much. The last concert I went to was with my best friend to Passenger a few months ago. The concert will take place the 31th of May in Valladolid. Just one day before my birthday. Best birthday present ever! I really need to be in Spain to enjoy this beautiful concert with my good friend. Alfred Garcia makes beautiful music and compose every song by himself. His music is just sooooo amazing ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I also wrote about his music in this post.

Concert tickets of Alfred Garcia

My favourite food I have eaten ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒฎ:

Eating soup in the church

I ate delicious soup for free in the church with my mother and her friend. This is typical during the days before Easter in the church near to our house in The Netherlands. It was so good to see the conductor from a choir and other familiar people I know. They were happy to see me and it made me even feel emotional. I sang in this children’s choir many years too besides singing in my other choir for 11 years. We also donated money for children in Africa to get access to clean water. In total we all donated โ‚ฌ211 for this charity. It always feels good to do something good for the world.

Eating tomato soup in the church

Delicious Spanish tortilla de patatas

After eating soup in the church I ate a delicious Spanish tortilla with my mother made by that same friend at her home. Spanish vibes always! Viva Espaรฑa!

Tortilla de patatas

Enjoying Mexican food at Havana in The Hague

I ate at my favourite restaurant in The Hague which is Havana with my lovely mother ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿด I loved the Social Deal and the Mexican food so much. We ate a delicious tomato soup, burritos and fajitas with tortilla’s, rice, chicken, guacamole, crรจme fraice and cheese. As dessert I had a delicious monta cuba which was vanilla ice-cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. My mother ate a delicious chocolate pie with whipped cream. It was a delicious meal with good service! I also loved the Spanish music. It reminds me of the nights I used to dance here with my friends after studying. I miss those times and felt nostalgic. I have such great memories of this beautiful city. The Hague will be forever in my heart and is one of my favourites cities in The Netherlands.

Delicious pie with mint tea in the restaurant Molenplas

I enjoyed a nice night with my mother and a Spanish friend to eat delicious pie with mint tea in the Molenplas. This is the restaurant which we have near to our house in Holland. My mother ate a delicious chocolate brownie, the Spanish friend ate apple pie and I ate a caramel toffee pie with whipped cream. It was so yummy! I had never tried that pie before and I loved it.

Dutch fondue with my family

Before I went to Spain with my mother I had a delicious Dutch fondue with my lovely family: me, my parents, my brother and his wife. We had a fondue with meat together with potatoes, different sauces and a salad. As dessert we ate vanilla ice-cream and fruits mmm ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿด๐Ÿ˜‹

Enjoying Spring time in The Netherlands and in Spain๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒป๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿ’

I enjoyed Spring time both in Spain and in The Netherlands. I love that it’s finally Spring. It was about time. I really don’t like the winter. I was so done with it. My favourite season is Summer but I love Spring too. I love seeing the flowers blossom, the animals awake and the beautiful nature. I went for some walks and also used my bike in The Netherlands. It felt good to finally feel the warmth of the sunshine on my skin. Life is better with sunshine and good weather.

Trip to the city Leรณn in Spain with my mother

I went to the city Leรณn with my mother a week ago. It’s a city just two hours away from Valladolid. We went to a spa hotel which was amazing. I loved to use the jacuzzi and swimming pool with my mother. It was so relaxing. I also loved to visit the beautiful cathedral with the stained window glasses. The tapas were also so delicious. You get a free tapa when you order a drink. It was an amazing trip and I will share more of it in detail in another post.

My niece slept in our home for one night

My niece slept one night in our home with me and my parents. My brother and his wife had to take pictures at a hotel that night near to our house. It was for an event for donating money for a sick child. It was really nice to spend some time with my niece. She is a wild and happy child. We took her to our park too with my other brother and wife. After walking a bit she said: “I can’t take another step”. Hahaha that made me laugh so much because she was saying it so dramatic like we have walked so much which wasn’t the case. Then my brother and wife carried her home. She woke up early but fortunately my parents put her in bath and played music. Noanne also loves to go to my room as I’ve so many things haha it feels likes Disney World. I’m also just happy it was just for one night. I’m not sure if one day I will have a child. To be honest it feels really overwhelming to have kids when you suffer from anxiety at the same time.
