World Mental Health Day 2020 πŸ’šπŸ’ͺ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health is important every damn day. Mental health is as important as physical health. Today I want to share a poem about mental health. I’m here for you all πŸ™πŸ’ž. This year is even harder for all of us because of being more isolated this year. More people died by suicide and are struggling with their mental health because of the pandemic. I definitely feel this year is really such a struggle. It’s important that we all help each other.

Every 40 seconds someone dies by suicide. 1 out of 5 people suffer from a mental illness on a daily basis. I can say that we are done about speaking up. It’s time to change the whole mental health care system. The waiting lists are too long, the help is too late at times and there are no funds for good treatments. This is a worldwide issue which definitely need to change in all countries. Voting a political party which listen to our needs could make a change. There needs to be done so much in our society until everyone can get the help they need whenever they need it.

I’m so thankful for the support I have here online. I love the blogging mental health community. I love the support I get from my family especially my mother. She knows how to care for me and love me especially on the days I feel bad. I love my friends, pen pals and online friends so much too. I take anti anxiety meds when I need them like when I go to the dentist, have to fly or any other situation which makes me anxious and out of control. Everyone deals with it on their own way. There’s no right way. I don’t know whether I will go therapy once and that would help me. It’s also not okay to push someone into doing something they don’t think would help. Healing and recovery isn’t linear and it different for everyone. I think sometimes we just have to find a way with living with it. Writing, doing yoga, blogging, singing, listening to music, being with my loved ones, walks in nature, the sea, surfing, reading, meditation, speaking with someone I trust are all important tools that make me feel better. I hope you also have some great resources that will help you in your life. Mental health illnesses are so complexed, different and hard to treat. I guess at one point it will get better. We have to fight for that day and stay together.

This is the most vulnerable video I made. It’s a spoken poem for today. I hope it makes you feel less alone in your struggle and know that we are all in this together ❀️πŸ’ͺ I love you all so much.

I close my eyes
All I see and feel is darkness
I feel lost
I’m not myself anymore
My chest feels tight
I’m breathing faster
My heart rate is racing
So many thoughts about the future
I’m nauseous
I’m getting dizzy
Cold
Warm
I’m getting crazy
Why can’t I just feel like a normal person?
I began to cry
What’s happening to me?

This is what it feels to suffer from anxiety and panic attacks
It’s the worst
1 of 5 people suffer on a daily basis with their mental health
Depression, bipolar, borderline, eating disorder, psychoses, anxiety, ocd
Any person can suffer from one or more of them
They all matter
No matter your nationality, gender, age, race
Mental illnesses are real
There’s no need to shame
What we need is compassion, support and respect
A better mental health system
Every illness counts
Time is ticking
It’s time to save lives
Change the mental health care system
We don’t want more deaths
We want better treatments available for all

Remember, you are never alone. Like Ram Dass says, we are walking each other home. We are here for each other. I really wouldn’t know where I would be without all of you. My blog. My safe space. It’s so good to have a place where you feel like you can be yourself. I never felt this way before. I have always felt the feeling that I don’t belong anywhere. I never felt at home until I went to NYC and spoke at the United Nations and when I did my internship in Valladolid. Those places reminded me that good people exists. I also never felt at home until I began this blog. I didn’t knew so many awesome, inspirational and good people exists. Sometimes we forget it because of all what’s going on in the world. When there’s so much negative news we sometimes go into a dark hole and can only see the negative side of this world. I’m happy that thanks to blogging I know there are so many people who want you to be happy, healthy and will support you along your way.

Thank you a million times for always being there for me. There will be good and hard times in life. As long as we are together we will be fine because we will support each other along the way in this crazy adventure called life. I hope we can all meet one day, have deep talks and enjoy life together. I can’t wait to see you all making your wildest and biggest dreams coming true. I will always be cheering you from the side. You are not alone. You are kind. You are loved. Always remember too, you are enough. Don’t let society make you feel like you are not. Your mental health illness doesn’t define you as a person. I sometimes also feel like I’m an anxious person but it’s more like I suffer from anxiety. I’m not my anxiety. We aren’t our illness. We are much more than that. It isn’t our choice to be sick.

Thank you all for reading and watching my video. I hope it made you feel less alone and inspired you 🌌🌠. What do you think need to change in the mental health care system? What does make you feel better? How are you feeling now? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Black lives matter πŸ–€πŸ‘Š

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I wanted to write a blog post about my birthday presents 🎁 but first I have to write a more important post which is a poem about Black Lives Matter. I will also talk more about racism in this post. We can’t close our eyes anymore for what has happened in our world and what is happening now. Racism exists in every form, not only in America. It also exists in Europe. White privilege and white supremacy is real. It’s so easy to ignore the pain of what black people have to go through because we don’t experience it on a daily basis. If we are black people and have to suffer this on a daily basis and watch people murdered just because of their skin colour, we would definitely think different about this whole situation. We can’t ignore racism anymore.

In America racism is more obvious because of the different cultures living there. In America you can also see the difference between poor and rich much more than in other countries in Europe. It’s more obvious I think. Slavery and racism have always existed. Europe exists because our countries made colonies and murdered people because of their colour. The Netherlands did that too. UK too and Spain and many more countries. It’s horrible to think that we as white people made this possible 😒. It’s our history. I want to read more about it because I want to educate myself better and understand everything. I think I will buy some books related to racism and white privilege.

I never talked before about the topic of racism because it makes me feel insecure sometimes. I find it uncomfortable if I don’t know enough about the subject. I don’t want to hurt other people. I think I don’t know enough of it to speak up. Now, I realise that that doesn’t matter. I can speak up and still learn new things and grow from what I know now. If we all think this way we are only just embracing our white privilege. We have to speak up about it because that’s the only way to help others. We have to be an ally for black people. Not speaking up is no option anymore. You can’t say that you are not a racist and being silent. That’s just not the right way to handle things. If nobody speaks up about a difficult topic nothing will change. We have to listen to the black people and do our learning process on our own.

I have a friend who is black and I always was with her in the church singing. I don’t see her much anymore but she still has a place in my heart. I have never seen her different because of her skin colour. Human beings learn within the years racist attitudes and thoughts. I remember she was playing with me in my neighbourhood and people called her mean names such as “chocolate” and wanted her to go away. I feel guilty now thinking of this because I didn’t do enough. I had to stand up for her. Now, I would do that. It is okay to see what I did wrong then and change my behaviour now and for the future.

It’s okay to look back to the mistakes we made. We can learn from it and grow from it. Now and always is the time to donate money to organizations which help back people. I already donated money for the organization which helps black people called “Black lives matter”. You can donate here. Every dollar or euro counts. I also signed a petition for the death of George Floyd. He was killed by a white police man putting his knee in his neck. 9 minutes long he wasn’t able to breath. I saw the pictures and it horrified me. This happened in America but to be honest this racism action exists everywhere. Maybe not in the same form but it still exists. Don’t look back from it but say something against it. We can’t let this happen again.

I will share with you now the poem I made for black lives matter. I hope it inspires others to educate yourself and be a real ally for black people.

Black lives matter

George Floyd got killed by a white police man in America

Just because he is a black man

Sandra Bland, Nia Wilson, Freddie Gray, Breonna Taylor

Those are just a few names who also got killed by their skin colour

How long are we going to go on with this without stopping racism?

We all have been way to ignorant with this problem

I admit that I feel guilty about that too

It’s so much easier to close our eyes for things we don’t want to feel

That’s called

White privilege

We can’t imagine how much pain black people go through so we close our eyes, heart and ignore it

So, we say ”I’m not racist, all lives matter” which is a wrong statement

Not all lives matter

Black people get killed because of their skin colour

It isn’t fair

Now it’s the time to speak up

Staying silence is only making things worse

Our discomfort is nothing compared to their pain

Educate yourself, read books, donate money, be a real ally for black people

Call people out when someone is making racist jokes

”Be the change you wish to see in the world 🌍❀️”

Come in action

Do it now, not later

Change is coming and it has to start with ourselves

Our thoughts and action matter

Let’s do it all together

We can do it, yes we can! πŸ’ͺπŸ’–πŸ‘Š

Thank you all for reading this important blog post πŸ™. We have to talk about racism always not only when something big is happening. This is happening for years and it’s time to fight against it. Speak up and be the change in the world. What do you do to be a good ally for black people? Which books are you reading and which ones would you recommend me to read? What do you think of racism? Have you ever experienced any form of racism? Let me know lovelies.

I’m always here for you. My blog is free from judgement. My blog is pro black people, pro mentally ill or any other illness, pro choice and anything. I will always fight for justice in the world. I’m a feminist, mental health warrior and will always speak up about any injustice in the world. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

5 surfers died doing what they loved to do the most in The North Sea πŸ˜’πŸ’”πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I wanted to write a more happy blog post but I just can’t. I have to always write what’s on my mind. Right now, I feel so much loss and I am so sad. I feel heartbroken πŸ’”. I cried this whole week SO much. I will talk about the tragedy which happened on Monday afternoon in the beach Scheveningen πŸŒŠπŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸ˜’. 5 surfers died doing what they loved to do the most. I also wrote a poem abou it which I will let you see below. This is also my 200th post on my blog which I’m proud about but today’s blog post is something more important. Some people will maybe not understand me but I can grief so hard for people I don’t know. I’m a sensitive person and an empath. That’s how I live my life now and forever. I will not change that for anyone if you like it or not.

On Monday afternoon in Scheveningen at 7 o’clock a group of surfers came in problems. There was a strong wind and current. They didn’t surf near to the port because it’s more dangerous there. They know the sea so well because they were experienced and even life guards. They found the two bodies on Monday and the other two on Tuesday. They are still searching for the fifth body. Even the rescue team had problems in finding them. Some people were saved, a man who was 40 years old and other people. A friend of them was saved. They were all from the regio of The Hague. The ones who died were between 20 and 30 years old. It’s so heartbreaking that the sea took their lives. It was even on the news of the World Surf League which is the association of surfing professionals. They died suffocated in the foam. This is very strange because that doesn’t happen often. Now they will further investigate it. I hate when people say it’s their fault. I find it disrespectful when people say that. The rescue team in The Netherlands saved one person who also had a baby, a family together. That person was friends with the ones who died. I wouldn’t know how to cope when I know my best friends died but I got saved. I think it must be so heartbreaking.

I know surfing is sometimes a risky sport but surfers know that. I love surfing and even made my thesis about surfing for graduating college. I wrote about the surf brand O’Neill and the surfing lifestyle. I love to live that lifestyle like all surfers are living that. It means to enjoy the sea, having respect for nature, for the environment and for every living being. I’m a beginner surfer by heart. The sea is my home. I also surfed on the beach of Scheveningen many times. It makes me the most happy person ever. Even though I’m not good at catching waves yet, I have fun and feel the most alive on my surfboard. They died doing what they loved to do. I just don’t think there’s anything poetic about that because it must be a horrible death being drowned by the sea. I’m so sorry for them 😒. I think they suffered a lot and did all they could to be saved. Since I heard the news I couldn’t stop crying. I wrote a poem about what happened. It’s also on my poetry account on Instagram. I can’t think of anything else right now.

The wild sea

I love the sea

It’s my favourite place in the world

I love to hear the waves crashing to the shore

I love to smell the salty air

I love to feel the wind in my face

I love the taste of the salt sea

I love to see the waves

What I love the most of surving

Is the feeling of being alive

It makes me so happy

At the same time the sea scares me

Last night a tragedy happened in Scheveningen

5 experienced body surfers lost their lives

The wind & the big waves took their lives

How can nature be so cruel?

How can be something so beautiful at the same time kill people?

It’s mother nature at their wildest

I spent the day crying

I don’t know you but I feel the losses in my heart

Being an empath and highly sensitive person makes you grief people you don’t even know

I’m so sorry Joost, Sander, Pim, Max and Matthijs

The sea took your life

May you rest in peace

You were all too young

You died doing what you loved to do

We are mourning the losses

The sky is crying with you

You are all an inspiration for us

You will not forgotten

I send all my love to the friends and family

You are all loved

The surfing community will always be there for each other

We will stick together

Love you
πŸ’•

A sea of words

I hope you all liked my poem. The picture is from someone on Instagram. I love to see sunsets on the beach. They are the most magical ever. I truly believe these heroes are somewhere there watching us from above. We will continue surfing remembering them. I just always have to write a poem when a tragedy happens, especially one so close to home. Scheveningen is a place I come often to surf, chill and enjoy the beach. It’s close to The Hague where I went to college to. I often celebrate my birthday at the surf school Hart Beach. These men were from another surf school but they were all surf teachers and know the sea very well. They know the dangers. The meters of foam happened suddenly when they were body surfing. I love the community of surfers so much. They are all so lovely and connected with each other. I have some friends who surfed with me but I would love to find more people who could surf with me. Sometimes I was also thinking to get a job in the surf industry. It would be so amazing! Caring about the environment, enjoying nature and loving the sea is everything I stand for in life. I know some of my studies live there and are also heartbroken about the news. Also one girl from my studies know some people who have died. She’s a professional surfer who surfed with them too.

It’s so sad that life can be over in just one second. We never know when will be the last day we are living. We never know when we will die. It terrifies me but at the same time it also makes me think that I want to live the life of my dreams. I would love to learn to be able to surf well and catch some good waves. It makes me feel alive, happy and feel less anxious. The sea cures everything but sometimes it’s a monster which takes people. I always have much respect for the sea. It’s mother nature at it’s wildest 🌊. We can learn how to surf the waves but we can’t go against the sea. The sea will always be stronger than us at the end. Nature will always be stronger than human beings and can destroy us whenever we least except it, thinking of natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunami’s. We really have to care more about mother nature. It’s the most beautiful thing in the world and also sometimes the scariest thing ever 😒. We have absolutely no control of it.

Today, our hearts go out to the 5 families and friends of the people we lost in Scheveningen yesterday. The 5 surfers where body surfing and were experienced. They didn’t come home after their session. Even though I don’t know them I feel this loss so deeply. I am an empath and highly sensitive person and always feel everything so deeply. I don’t have to know someone personally to feel what others are going through. I can feel their feelings so deeply. This is the prize I take for feeling so much. I also suffer so much too. I don’t know how I would cope when someone I know dies. This is a black day for the Dutch surf community and we wish all who are involved the strength to deal with this loss πŸ˜’πŸŒŠπŸ™πŸ„πŸ‡³πŸ‡±. We are all mourning their losses. The sea is so wild and strong. It takes and gives. I am here for you all. Sending you all my love and strength πŸ’•πŸ™. I hope this poem made you feel less alone in mourning their grief.

Always when something like this happen I would love to help other people and be of service. I know I can’t make the death surfers come back into life. I wish that power would exist. If I lived near to Scheveningen I would bring flowers to the surf school. Everyone is doing that and they are griefing all together around the place where the tragedy happened. Maybe, I’m going to sent the surf school a card and flowers letting them know they aren’t alone in their pain. The families and friends need to grief right now and need their privacy. I also am going to donate money for the KNRM which is the The Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution. They are always rescuing people and it’s important to donate money even though you may not have much money. You can donate on this website: KNRM.

This is a beautiful poem I found on Instagram. It sounds better in Dutch of course but I loved it.

”If mermen really existed,
at home on the coast and could go as fishes through the water
then they were named surfers
and everyone in Scheveningen would know that
the sea belongs to them and they belong to the sea
her waves took the men forever with her.”

Thank you all for reading this heartbreaking but necessary blog post. It was my 200th blog post. I just had to write about this tragedy. What do you think of my poem? Are you a sea lover? Does the sea scares you? Does anything similiar happened in your country? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina

April book reviews πŸ“šπŸ’–

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I hope you are all doing fine while the world is going crazy 😱. I’m having anxiety some days and now feel not well with cramps, headaches and so tired. I just had my period too. I just hope I’m not getting sick again like in February or that it’s something more scary. I have sometimes anxiety about my health too. It gets overwhelming especially these days πŸ˜”. I just hope everything will be fine one day πŸ™. At least I’m still blogging, reading, writing, grouding myself, doing yoga, meditation and I’m still kinda alive.

I know this blog post is waaaay too late but it doesn’t matter haha πŸ˜‚. I already finished reading some other books but first I want to share some reviews of the books I’ve read last year. In this blog post I will review the books The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon and Moon Theory by R. M. Drake. I had to do these reviews earlier because it’s much easier to write a blog post when you just have read the books and it’s still fresh in your mind. Anyway, I hope you will like this post as I know many of you are also readers. Books are life! πŸ“šβ€οΈ

The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Summary:

The Great Gatsby is an important book of the writing career of F. Scott Fitzgerald. It’s considered one of the great classics of the twentieth-century literature. In his book he writes about the Jazz Age. The story is about Jay Gatsby who is very rich and about his new love called Daisy. Gatsby is famous for his big parties πŸŽ‰ where he invites a lot of people on Long Island. The story shows exactly how America was during the 1920s.

My review:

I love how Fitzgerald writes in this book because some sentences feels very poetic. It’s a good book which made you feel like you are living during the 1920s in America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. I loved to read about the big parties and how fancy their clothes were. I would love to go to one of his parties even though I don’t drink at all haha. I have to admit that sometimes I found the writing style difficult because there were some words I didn’t understand so sometimes I found it difficult to keep reading. I’m used to reading Young Adult books so it was something different to read.

Quotes:

β€œAnd so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

β€œHe looked at her the way all women want to be looked at by a man.”

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐

I give this book three stars because I liked it but it isn’t one of my favourite books. I just prefer young adult books because they are much easier to read. However, it’s a good book and I’m sure many of you also liked it.

Everything, Everything – Nicola Yoon

Summary:

This book is about a girl called Madeline who has a rare disease. It’s a form of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency. She is allergic to everything and can’t leave her house. She hasn’t left her house for already 15 years. Her mother and her nurse Carla take care of her. One day everything change because some new neighbors came. Olly will change her life for good πŸ’•. She wants to feel alive and wants to do everything life has to offer. Madeline knows for sure that she is going to fall in love with Olly and that it will be a hell of a ride.

My review:

I have never read a book that fast for a long time. I finished this book in two weeks during last Summer 🌞. It was so AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!!! πŸ˜πŸ’–It was also such an easy book to read. I love how the writer makes you fall in love with the characters so fast and made you feel like you actually live that story. It was just so incredible. The end was also a plot twist. I won’t say any spoilers for the ones who didn’t read it. I think it’s such an inspiring book and also such a beautiful love story but not in a cliche way. I definitely cried some tears. There are some really great quotes which I will share below with you.

Quotes:

β€œFrom so high above it, the world seems ordered and deliberate.
But I know it’s more than that. And less. It is structured and chaotic. Beautiful and strange.”

β€œLife is a gift. Don’t forget to live it.”

β€œEverything’s a risk. Not doing anything is a risk, It’s up to you.”

β€œMaybe growing up means disappointing the people we love.”

β€œYou can find the meaning of life in a book.”

 β€œYou hate the ocean?
I don’t hate it. I respect it. Respect. It’s Mother Nature at her finest – awesome, beautiful, impersonal, murderous.”

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Definitely 5 stars! πŸŒŸπŸ’« It was a fun, beautiful and inspiring book. This is already one of my favourite books which I’ve ever read. I also loved the drawings in this book which were made by the hushband of Nicola Yoon. It fits perfectly with the story and made it even better. You could really live with the characters, live through their story and feel their emotions.

Moon Theory – Robert M. Drake

Summary:

This poetry book is about self love πŸ’–, love, life and everything in between. Robert M. Drake is a poet and became famous on Instagram. This book is a collection of many poems of him. Many poems are about being real, being yourself, standing up for yourself and feeling your feelings as they come and go. He has written loads of poetry books.

My review:

I loved this poetry book so much! πŸ˜„ It was so well written. All the poems were so beautiful and inspiring. I could really feel all of his emotions and also relate to them in my own life. It was just so good. Some of the poems made me emotional too. He also write poetry which is mental health related. It makes me feel less alone. We need those people so badly in this world especially this time πŸŒπŸ™. They are the ones who heal our hearts. While reading this book you can heal your own heart too. He is such a great writer. I will show some of my favourite poems below.

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I give this book 5 stars of course without any doubt! It was a beautiful poetry book. I wish to read more poetry books of him and also some novels he has written. I hope they will be as good as this one or maybe even better who knows.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post. Have you read any of these books? Did you like them? What are you reading right now? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina

International Women’s Day 2020 πŸ’ͺβ™€οΈπŸ’œ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I always find it so important to talk about women’s rights especially today. Today it’s International Women’s Day πŸ’œβ™€οΈ. Every day is women’s day but I find today just an important day to talk about feminism and women’s rights. I love to write poetry about this topic. I love to read about it. I love to speak up about it because we have the right to speak up. I will also share at the end a poem, a picture and a cover 🎢 I made for this subject. I will not say happy International Women’s Day because how can we be happy when there are still so many women suffering in this world? How can we be happy when we are still afraid walking at night? How can we be happy when we are always afraid of something happening to us? There still needs a lot to be done to have equal rights between men and women.

There’s still no equality between men and women in this world. We have to raise our voice and talk about it. Men still earn in many places more than women. Men still consider women as objects. Men still keep catcalling women on the street. Rape, sexual abuse and violence against women exists. It still happens. It happens in The Netherlands, in Spain and anywhere else in the world. It has nothing to do with undeveloped or developed countries. This is an issue which effects the whole world 🌍. I wish we wouldn’t live in a patriarchal world. To be honest, I’m sick of it. Women can be bosses too. We don’t need men to feel satisfied or be happy in life.

I have always been a feminist and also will be a feminst forever πŸ’œβ™€οΈπŸ”₯. Women and men deserve the same human rights. It’s that simple. Some men always think that if you are a feminist, you hate men. That isn’t the case at all. Of course, men can be a feminst too because this isn’t just about women, it’s also about men. We don’t want to have the power over men. We just want GENDER EQUALITY.

Girl support girls always

I have to admit that I still have a wall around me because of my ex. It’s been 7 years since the break up πŸ’”. I dated some guys sometimes but just short and nothing serious. I’m afraid to get hurt again. I liked guys which just wanted me because they wanted sex from me and I don’t want that. They saw me as an object and even one time one said that they thought I was sexual attractive. I was like fuck off πŸ‘†. You see, I’m fed up with these kind of comments. I want to be seen as a women for my qualities which means being sensitive, romantic, creative, compassionate and for being intelligent and having a good heart. When I see a man or get to know one I think of these qualities of that person whereas men always focus on our physically.

To be honest, I don’t blame men for those behaviours because they can be changed. Those are not great comments of course. Those behaviours are thought from an early age. Boys and girls are grown up differently. Boys have to be strong and like men stuff like cars 🚘 and football and girls are grown up having to be like a princess πŸ‘Έ, being sweet and sensitive and loving all cute and pink stuff. It’s the wrong way to have grown up. The moment a child doesn’t feel like fitting in, he or she fall outside the box in our society. So, I definitely think these male-dominated behaviours of catcalling and seeing women as an object comes from an early age.

I really do think we have to raise boys and girls the same way. Tell them it’s okay to be and like who they want to like. Tell the boys it’s okay to cry. Tell the girls it’s okay to be a warrior. This will also cause less mental health problems in the future. There are more men who die by suicide then women because they feel they can’t express their emotions and don’t have the right to cry and talk about their feelings.

As you can see, there is still a lot to do with achieving real equality between men and women. I’m a feminist by heart and I find it important to raise awareness about equality always. Therefor I made a poem πŸ“ for this day and this poem relates to the picture where you can see me with tape on my mouth. I made this picture a few years ago for an assignment for school. It was for my minor of photography. We had to show a contrast with two pictures. I had chosen the topic of freedom. This picture is the opposite of how I’m able to live my life. This picture relates to my poem below.

Besides, I also made this cover of the song La puerta violeta πŸ’œπŸŽΆ from rozalen. It’s such a beautiful Spanish song. Rozalen is such an amazing Spanish artist! This song is about violence against women and about freedom. She sings about drawing a violet door on the wall, running in the forest and being free and safe. It’s a song dedicated for the violence against women around the world.

I shared the cover on my instagram which you can find below.

I hope you all liked the poem and the song. It’s just so important to speak up for the ones who can’t speak up. We have to do it all together πŸ’ͺπŸ’–. We are all making a change every day by changing our thoughts and behaviour. We are all equal. Nobody is better. We are all human and deserve to be treated that way.

Thank you all for reading this important blog post about international women’s day, equality, human rights and feminism. I hope you all liked it and that it inspired you. Are you also a feminist? What do you think of equality? What do you think needs to change to achieve gender equality in the world? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Just be yourself poem πŸŒΈ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I would like to share a poem I made a few days ago about being myself and I also shared it online. It’s been a long time since I shared a poem on here. I love to express myself with writing. I will show a picture of me with this poem I made. I had a nice photoshoot one day in Spain. This picture is already 6 years old haha but sssht 🀫 I still look the same πŸ˜‚πŸ€.

Picture of myself in Spain

I am sensitive.

I am caring.

I am beautiful.

I am creative.

I am inspiring.

I am strong.

I am lovable.

I am enough.

I am loved.

I am empathetic.

I am vulnerable.

I am honest.

I am open-minded.

I am intelligent.

I am sweet.

I am romantic.

I can be all of them.

I don’t have to choose between one of them.

Being human means being all of those things.

That’s the power of being human.

To be who you want to be without having to choose.

Being ourselves and loving ourselves unconditionally.

We are all human and matter.

Be yourself and love yourself.

Just be you.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope this poem inspired you to be just yourself with all your qualities and flaws. You are beautiful just the way you are πŸ’–. What do you think of my poem? What makes you you? Do you think it’s difficult to be yourself in our society? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Poem: How would my life be without fear?

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

This will be just a short post about a poem I made a month ago. I still feel this way though. It’s good to put my thoughts and feelings in words. I hope you will understand what I feel with this poem I made. I often feel like I’m just surviving and existing in life than that I’m really living the life I want. I’m afraid of death and I shared those thoughts in this blog post a while ago. However, I’m also afraid of life because I’m not living a life that brings me happiness because of anxiety. I hope that that will change in the future πŸ™.

π‘―π’π’˜ π’˜π’π’–π’π’… π’Žπ’š π’π’Šπ’‡π’† 𝒃𝒆 π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰π’π’–π’• 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒓?

My life would be so different because I wouldn’t feel so extremely anxious for everyday life things such as going to the dentist or going to the doctors.

I would follow my dreams and know that I can reach them like getting a job in Spain and writing a poetry book.

I would join a choir again or do something with singing for sure because I love to sing 🎢 It makes me so happy πŸ’—. Music is life like I always say.

I wouldn’t be afraid of death because I know that my life is purposeful and fulfilling.

I would speak up in real life more instead of hiding myself and avoiding people and confrontation.

I wouldn’t think all the time that people are angry at me.

I would be more happy with myself and with my life.

I would go into the ocean and learn to actually surf waves πŸŒŠπŸ„β€β™€οΈ and maybe even big waves.

I would let go of the past and be less afraid of the future.

I would deal better with having changes in my life.

I would travel the world 🌍 and go to amazing places like Aruba πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ό, Costa Rica 🌞, Hawaii 🌴 and California 🌊. I would go to the @yoga_girl retreat in Aruba and have the time of my life.

I would live my life the way I want and be less afraid of what people think of me.

I would let go of others expectations.

I would know how to deal with anxiety better.

But most of all,
I would just be much more happier, be more at peace with myself and live the life I dream of.

Hopefully, one day I can say that I made it πŸ’ͺπŸ’— after all the hard times I have faced in my life.

That’s what I and we all deserve.

To live a life we are happy about, do the things we love to do with the people we love.

Thank you all so much for reading my poem. I hope you all liked it πŸ’—. Do you also feel that way in life? How do you deal with fear in life? Are you more of facing your fears or running away from them? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Poem: Life is unfair

Hola lovelies πŸ’•,

I wrote this a few days ago because I was feeling emotional and had to cry. It’s about an illness you all know: cancer. I wrote a poem about it too.

Lately I can’t sleep well so last night was not an exception. What do I do when I can’t sleep? Writing, writing and writing. I love to write especially poems as well. When there’s so much in my mind I need to let it go. You know that feeling that even though when you are struggling yourself you want to help people who are struggling too? That feeling of impotence is what I feel right now. It makes me even feel guilty to have fun in life sometimes because I see so much pain in this world which breaks my whole heart πŸ’”πŸ˜’

I’m really feeling all the feels. I feel emotional and I also feel anger. Life is so unfair. I cried when I heard the awful news that Lisa from my choir died from cancer which I wrote in this post. I cried when I heard that my neighbour died last month because of cancer. I cried when I heard that someone I know very well has cancer now. Here I’m crying again because Lisanne has another form of cancer again 😒 It’s just so awful. She has neuroblastoma and now she has leucemia too. Lisanne is almost 6 years old. She is a child from a man which I know from my choir too. I’m thinking that this could happen to any child like my niece too.

I just had to write this poem in respect for everyone who has lost someone because of cancer or is going through this sickness. I also shared it on my poetry account seaofwordsx. I’m here for you all πŸ’—. In the past I donated money for a cancer organization and also for the organization for neuroblastoma. I will keep doing that in the future because I hope that that will cure more people of cancer πŸ™.

I’m always here for anyone who needs me. I love to help people and will keep doing that forever. We are always in this together πŸ’ͺ I’m sending you all my love and strength. I love you all so so so much πŸ’ž

Thank you all for reading this blog post and my poem. I hope you liked it and it inspired you ✨. Did you love my poem? Do you also know someone who suffers from cancer? Do you also sometimes feel impotence when you see so many people suffering in the world and you don’t know how to help them? I will speak you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Speak up for the people who can’t πŸ’ͺ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

Today I just wanted to talk about something important. I will talk about how important it is to speak up for the people who can’t. Many people in our world can’t speak up for their human rights because they may live in countries where there’s a war and are afraid of speaking up. There can be consequences of speaking up. I will talk about many subjects related to this. I hope it will inspire people and make this world a better place to live in πŸŒβœ¨πŸ™

I was thinking about this topic when I was listening a few days ago to a postcast from Yoga Girl. It was about the abortion ban in some states in America. This is going on right now and it’s really scary. It felt good to hear this important topic which I also agreed on. I believe that every woman has the right to choose to do what they want with their body and whether they want to have children or not. I don’t want that we are going backwards in history.

It’s really terrifying what’s happening in America. This abortion ban will be bad for all women. Even women who are raped will not have the choice to do an abortion. It’s just a horrible thought for women to have a baby from being raped. You can choose to not do abortion for yourself but to ban it is just not aceptable. It’s a human right. It feels like they are now making a political issue of it. That’s why it’s so important to speak about this. We can’t just accept this. I was happy to go to the first feminist strike in Spain last year and speak up about all the injustice we women have to suffer. We live in a patriarchal world and this just has to change.

This subject isn’t only about women. Speaking up implies in many subjects. Racism still exists and people who say it doesn’t are just afraid to speak about it. They ignore it when it is there. I loved the postcast of Yoga Girl where she talked about white supremacy as I agree so much with it. It feels like an uncomfortable conversation but we have to talk about it and discuss it.

I don’t want the benefits of being a white person. I just want everyone in the world to be equal. I want them to have the same human rights. I want everyone have the same school and job opportunities. I don’t accept people of colour being rejected for a job. I have a good friend of Irak and I hear her stories. She had to leave her country because of war just like many people from Syria and other people from other countries are doing right now. I believe there has to be a good migration plan in every country. Some countries almost don’t accept immagration whereas other countries have an overflow. There has to be a better system for all where everyone feels comfortable, happy and equal.

Also I made this poem below for this blog post and also shared it on my Instagram Sea of words. I hope you will all like this poem. Being bullied made me scared and anxious to speak up. It made me be silenced. I still have a hard time to speak up but I’m learning it because it’s so important to do.

We have to speak up for the people who can’t speak up. I always love to see people speaking up about important topics such as mental health because it makes me feel less alone while struggling from anxiety. If we speak up about an important topic or issue it will make other people feel less alone. It also inspires other people to speak up and to make this world a better world to live in 🌍✨. Even if it makes us scared we have to speak up. Let’s do it all together! Yeahhh, we can do it! πŸ’ͺ

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope it all inspired you and you loved it. What do you think of speaking up about important topics? Do you also speak up in life? Are you afraid of speaking up and how do you deal with it? Let me know lovelies 😘 I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Poem: Being real about suffering from anxiety

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I just always want to be 100% honest on my blog. I don’t like to lie on here. I don’t stand people always sharing their best lives and tell people online how perfect their lives is. Life isn’t always beautiful. I love to get inspired by people who share the truth, the good and the bad. I wrote this a few days ago because that’s how I felt in that moment.

I feel a bit better now because I planned a trip with my mother for tomorrow to go to the city Leon. Spontaneous trips make me the happiest. I also love to discover new cities where I have never been to. It’s two hours by bus from Valladolid. I just booked a beautiful three stars hotel with a spa. I can’t wait to relax, swim and go in the whirlpool. I love hotels with spa. I also can’t wait to enjoy this beautiful city. Leon is famous for their delicious tapas. For a drink you get a tapa for free. It’s also famous for the cathedral which is one of the most beautiful ones in the world. I can’t wait to share you my trip with you all.

For now, I want to share with you all this poem. I feel like this sometimes. It’s really hard to suffer from anxiety but we are all in this together πŸ’ͺπŸ’—

Being real about suffering from anxiety

I feel so anxious lately

I’m doing bad again

I’m isolating myself

I’m hiding myself

I’m only seeing my family

I don’t see my friends often

Most of them are busy living their lives

I feel lost and lonely

I feel like I can’t do the everyday life things such as going to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth out or do the internship interview to work in a hotel in Spain

It all takes me too much energy

Too much anxiety

For me it’s hard but for others who aren’t suffering from a mental illness it will be easy

I believe everyone experience hard times and anxiety in their lives

For me it’s an illness, a never ending struggle which makes living so hard

I’m afraid to ask for help

I’m afraid of life

But

I’m also afraid of dying

Is that really living or existing?

I have to go on

All I can see now is darkness

I know I won’t do anything bad to myself but feeling this way is also not okay

Hopefully within time I will feel better

All I need is to get better πŸ™

To be happy again

To follow & achieve my dreams ✨🌠

I know we all can do it

For anyone else struggling right now

You are not alone

You are loved πŸ’—

We are all in this together πŸ’ͺ

Thank you for reading this blog post. Thank you for being there for me πŸ’— Did you like my poem? Can you relate to it? How are you feeling in life right now? Let me know your thoughts. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina
