International Women’s Day 2020 πŸ’ͺβ™€οΈπŸ’œ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I always find it so important to talk about women’s rights especially today. Today it’s International Women’s Day πŸ’œβ™€οΈ. Every day is women’s day but I find today just an important day to talk about feminism and women’s rights. I love to write poetry about this topic. I love to read about it. I love to speak up about it because we have the right to speak up. I will also share at the end a poem, a picture and a cover 🎢 I made for this subject. I will not say happy International Women’s Day because how can we be happy when there are still so many women suffering in this world? How can we be happy when we are still afraid walking at night? How can we be happy when we are always afraid of something happening to us? There still needs a lot to be done to have equal rights between men and women.

There’s still no equality between men and women in this world. We have to raise our voice and talk about it. Men still earn in many places more than women. Men still consider women as objects. Men still keep catcalling women on the street. Rape, sexual abuse and violence against women exists. It still happens. It happens in The Netherlands, in Spain and anywhere else in the world. It has nothing to do with undeveloped or developed countries. This is an issue which effects the whole world 🌍. I wish we wouldn’t live in a patriarchal world. To be honest, I’m sick of it. Women can be bosses too. We don’t need men to feel satisfied or be happy in life.

I have always been a feminist and also will be a feminst forever πŸ’œβ™€οΈπŸ”₯. Women and men deserve the same human rights. It’s that simple. Some men always think that if you are a feminist, you hate men. That isn’t the case at all. Of course, men can be a feminst too because this isn’t just about women, it’s also about men. We don’t want to have the power over men. We just want GENDER EQUALITY.

Girl support girls always

I have to admit that I still have a wall around me because of my ex. It’s been 7 years since the break up πŸ’”. I dated some guys sometimes but just short and nothing serious. I’m afraid to get hurt again. I liked guys which just wanted me because they wanted sex from me and I don’t want that. They saw me as an object and even one time one said that they thought I was sexual attractive. I was like fuck off πŸ‘†. You see, I’m fed up with these kind of comments. I want to be seen as a women for my qualities which means being sensitive, romantic, creative, compassionate and for being intelligent and having a good heart. When I see a man or get to know one I think of these qualities of that person whereas men always focus on our physically.

To be honest, I don’t blame men for those behaviours because they can be changed. Those are not great comments of course. Those behaviours are thought from an early age. Boys and girls are grown up differently. Boys have to be strong and like men stuff like cars 🚘 and football and girls are grown up having to be like a princess πŸ‘Έ, being sweet and sensitive and loving all cute and pink stuff. It’s the wrong way to have grown up. The moment a child doesn’t feel like fitting in, he or she fall outside the box in our society. So, I definitely think these male-dominated behaviours of catcalling and seeing women as an object comes from an early age.

I really do think we have to raise boys and girls the same way. Tell them it’s okay to be and like who they want to like. Tell the boys it’s okay to cry. Tell the girls it’s okay to be a warrior. This will also cause less mental health problems in the future. There are more men who die by suicide then women because they feel they can’t express their emotions and don’t have the right to cry and talk about their feelings.

As you can see, there is still a lot to do with achieving real equality between men and women. I’m a feminist by heart and I find it important to raise awareness about equality always. Therefor I made a poem πŸ“ for this day and this poem relates to the picture where you can see me with tape on my mouth. I made this picture a few years ago for an assignment for school. It was for my minor of photography. We had to show a contrast with two pictures. I had chosen the topic of freedom. This picture is the opposite of how I’m able to live my life. This picture relates to my poem below.

Besides, I also made this cover of the song La puerta violeta πŸ’œπŸŽΆ from rozalen. It’s such a beautiful Spanish song. Rozalen is such an amazing Spanish artist! This song is about violence against women and about freedom. She sings about drawing a violet door on the wall, running in the forest and being free and safe. It’s a song dedicated for the violence against women around the world.

I shared the cover on my instagram which you can find below.

I hope you all liked the poem and the song. It’s just so important to speak up for the ones who can’t speak up. We have to do it all together πŸ’ͺπŸ’–. We are all making a change every day by changing our thoughts and behaviour. We are all equal. Nobody is better. We are all human and deserve to be treated that way.

Thank you all for reading this important blog post about international women’s day, equality, human rights and feminism. I hope you all liked it and that it inspired you. Are you also a feminist? What do you think of equality? What do you think needs to change to achieve gender equality in the world? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Spotify Wrapped 2019 πŸŽΆ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

I love to read other music reviews of 2019 and I also loved to see mine. I’m excited to share it with you all. Music is life. We can know a person’s personality through their music style. I love Taylor Swift, she’s my favourite artist of this decade and forever. I love romantic music and music which touch my soul 🎢. It has to make me feel something. Music is always there for us, in good and bad times. I can definitely see within the years I have Spotify how my music taste has changed depending on what I was going through in my life.

How my music changed within the seasons

Winter β„οΈβ˜ƒοΈπŸŒ¬οΈ

In the Winter I listened to Ariana Grande, Alfred GarcΓa and the podcast of Yoga Girl. The new album Thank u, next of Ariana just came out and I had it on repeat. Same goes for the album of Alfred which came out in December. I also listened a lot to the podcast of Yoga Girl – conversations from the heart. I listen to her podcast every week so that doesn’t change at all.

Spring 🌼🌷🌻

During the Spring time I listened again a lot to Ariana Grande, Alfred GarcΓa and to the podcast of Yoga Girl – conversations from the heart. What changed was that I also listened a lot to the song Arcade of the Dutch Duncan Laurence which was the winner of Eurovision. Best song ever. Goosebumps all the time.

Summer 🌞🌊

In the Summer I only listened to Taylor Swift’s new album Lover. Best album ever πŸ˜πŸ’–. I still listen to it. I also listened to the podcast of Yoga Girl of course. That never changes haha.

Autumn πŸπŸƒ

During Autum my music didn’t change that much. I still listened to Taylor Swift, and also to a new podcast of Yoga Girl which is Yoga Girl daily. The daily version are just 5 minutes each day which could be a meditation or an insight or thankful Thursday. I also listened to Miki NΓΊΓ±ez who represented Eurovision for Spain last year πŸŽ‰πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ.

Top artist of 2019

My top artist was Ariana Grande which was surprising to me because deep down in my heart my top artist is Taylor Swift haha sorry, no not sorry πŸ˜‚πŸ’–. I also love Ariana so much and because her album came earlier I listened more to her album in the beginning of 2019. Maybe, next year this changed. I listened more than 10 hours to her music. My favourite song was bloodline. I love this song.

Top artists of 2019

I’m not surprised that these are my top artists as they are my favs but I also thought Amaia and Sofia Ellar would make the list. I also listened so much to them. Maybe, next year. I love Ariana, Taylor, Alfred, Julia and Aitana. I love to listen to American artists and Spanish ones.

World citizen

I listened to a lot of music from different countries of the world 🌍. I listened to music from 24 different countries. I listened to music from USA (Ariana Grande), of course Spain a lot (Aitana), United Kingdom (Ed Sheeran), Avicii (Sweden, his posthumous album was beautiful… I still miss him so much) and also BTS (South Korea).

My top genres

I listened mostly to pop music, Spanish pop, Dutch pop, Colombian pop and R&B in Spanish. It’s just all pop except of the R&B.

My top 10 songs

1. Arcade – Duncan Laurence
2. Lover – Taylor Swift
3. The Archer – Taylor Swift
4. Bloodline – Ariana Grande
5. La Venda – Miki NΓΊΓ±ez
6. Fake Smile – Ariana Grande
7. Anxiety – Julia Michaels ft. Selena Gomez
8. Imagine – Ariana Grande
9. Bad Idea – Ariana Grande
10. You Need To Calm Down – Taylor Swift

I love all of these songs and artists. They all have a special place in my heart πŸ’ž.

My top podcast

The only podcast I listen to is the one of Yoga Girl – conversations from the heart. I listened 3007 minutes to her podcasts which is more than 50 hours. Her podcasts are the best. She’s the biggest inspiration in my life. Her podcast are so inspiring and full of beautiful lessons. They are about self love, mental health, trauma, healing, yoga, motherhood, relationships, life, death and everything in between. I wish to meet her one day and go to a yoga retreat in Aruba πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ό because it’s my biggest dream evah πŸ˜πŸ’–πŸ™βœ¨.

Time spent on Spotify from the last decade

Last year I listened to more music on Spotify than this year. If you see the minutes I listened to music on Spotify in 2015 until now it definitely decreased. I think in 2015 I still listened to break up music so had to use Spotify for that.

The best music of the decade

My music taste changed a lot during this decade because at the end of 2012 I experienced my first and only heartbreak πŸ’”πŸ˜’. I listened a lot to the song A drop of the ocean and other songs of Ron Pope. I also listened a lot to all the break up songs of The Script. I don’t like The Script so much anymore because they changed way too much. After those years I listened a lot to Passenger. Let her go is my favourite song of him. I loved his concert where I went to a few years ago. In 2017 the song Despacito was such a hit through the whole world. Last year I listened a lot to Sofia Ellar and I still do. I love her so much. This year was the year of Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. My favourite song of the year is Arcade because that’s the winning Eurovision song and made so much impact on me 😍😭. I needed this song to heal my broken heart at the end of this decade. It touched my heart in so many ways.

Duncan Laurence – Arcade

My top artist of the decade

The artist of the decade for me is Passenger which is normal when you saw above that I listened to his songs a lot during this decade. Now, I listen more to up beat and happy songs but also more slower ones. It’s nice to listen to all different kinds of music styles.

Stats of 2019

Ariana, Taylor, Alfred, Julia and Aitana are my top artists of 2019 of course. I listened 7233 minutes to Spotify which is a lot. My top genre is of course pop πŸ’ƒ.

My decade wrapped

My top artists of this decade are Passenger, The Script, Ron Pope, Frank Hamilton and Joshua Radin. These are all artists I listened to after the break up of my first love. The next decade this will definitely change because I almost don’t listen to these artists anymore. My favourite number was definitely Let her go from Passenger. I also loved Rojitas las orejas from Fito y Fitopaldis. This is one song I listened to a lot when I liked a Mexican πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ guy haha it was our song. I also loved the song Coastal Love from Honne. My top genre was of course Pop.

My top songs of 2019 – Playlist

You can listen to my songs of 2019 on this playlist which Spotify made for me. There are Spanish songs in them but also English songs.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope you found it interesting to hear about what kind of music I listened to this year and decade 🎢. What are your favourite artists of 2019? What were your favourite songs this year? Which music genre do you listen to? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

Being vulnerable and honest is what matters most in life πŸ’–βœ¨

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

Today I’m going to talk about my feelings and thoughts about being real and vulnerable. I will also show you that crying is okay and that it’s okay to feel all our feelings, the bad and the positive ones. It takes a lot of courage to be myself in a world where you are constantly being judged for being yourself. At the end, what’s most important in life is to be real with ourselves and with others. Only then we can have great relationships in our lives πŸ’–.

I’m always 100% myself on here, on my IG for my blog or in the communities such as the Yoga Girl Community I’m in. Being myself means sharing the good and bad in life. It’s about being raw, vulnerable and sensitive. Nowadays we live in a world where it’s better to hide our emotions and fake it until we make it. I’m so not into that. I’m loosing friends every year and thinking of that now, I’m happy about it. If people don’t align with me, respect me and care about me, why would I want to be friends with that person? Why invest so much time in people who aren’t worth our time? Our time is precious in life so better invest that in people who give you good vibes, love you for being yourself and who really care about you.

This is also a reason why I deactivated my Facebook account since a few days. I feel like social media does more wrong than good. I compare my life to others way too much. Then I begin to feel even more anxious. It’s also not good for my mental health. Maybe, I will activate it again one day. I just think I have to spend less time there because I don’t like all the fake people I see. There are even people I follow on social media who used to be friends with me and are showing their perfect lives which involves their travels, jobs and family life. I just can’t stand it. I’m not a person who’s jealous of that but it just makes me feel bad about myself. It always feels like the grass is greener on the other side. It’s like I don’t have my life together and seeing all those posts only increase my feeling of anxiety. I hope you all understand what I’m trying try to say.

People are just so fake in general. I know it isn’t attractive to see someone crying on a picture or reading about the though stuff in life like loosing someone we love, someone getting sick or any other tragic news. It’s just really necessary to show also the bad stuff in life because only then we can connect with others in a real way and feel less alone in our struggles. Of course, I don’t mean to only write about negative stuff and watch all the negative news which we are constantly being drowned by. I just mean that it’s important being real about our feelings and thoughts in life. I really can see how I and all the othee people struggling with their mental health or anything else in life can feel worse when people don’t talk about their struggles and only show the good in life. It makes us feel even more isolated.

Whenever I see those perfect feeds online I also feel like I don’t try hard enough in life to reach my goals. I feel like people don’t show often how hard it was to accomplish something in their life like getting that job you dreamt of, achieving other things in life such as finishing college or high school. Why do we not show more the journey to reach a certain goal? I think that could let us know that everything we want in life doesn’t come easy and that doing our best is more than enough. It will inspire us instead of making ourselves feel bad. I’m still applying for jobs in Spain and get a lot of rejections. It makes me feel demotivated. I feel like I won’t ever get a job I love because anxiety gets in the way. Today I applied again for a job to work online from home in Spain. I hope I will hear one day something positive about it πŸ€žπŸ€ I definitely know that it would make us feel better if we see how hard it is to reach things in life. Nobody talks about how hard it is to find a job when you are mentally ill. That makes me only feel more shameful when I didn’t choose to suffer from anxiety on the first place.

I also still struggle with going to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. I need to do it one by one but I just feel exhausted by the thought of it. Anxiety makes me feel so exhausted in life πŸ˜”. I feel exhausted to through to those waves of anxiety again so I don’t do anything about it which also isn’t okay. Maybe, I need to ask for help but I also still don’t know if therapy would help or I’m just fooling myself and telling myself that story. Maybe, I’m just anxious about going through all of that and I think I deserve no help or healing. In the midst of all of this, I wanted to apply for a singing casting for a talent show in Spain. I don’t think I’m doing it because it cost me money to go to Madrid. However, maybe I will apply for another singing casting here in Valladolid 🎢🎀. This also makes me anxious but I also love to sing. It’s one of my biggest passions in life. You have to send some voice notes and if you pass, you will have a real life audition. This audition is to be able to sing in a women’s choir. I miss singing in a choir. I sang 11 years in a choir in The Netherlands. The only thing is that I’m not living in Spain right now so maybe it doesn’t make sense to apply. If I would get a job I could stay here.

What I also wanted to say is that anxiety is a real illness as well as other mental illnesses or invisible illnesses. With these pictures below I want to show you all how it looks like to suffer from anxiety. It takes a lot of courage for me to show you this side but I feel the need to be real in the most vulnerable way. It’s okay to cry and not be okay. There has to be no shame of that. You can see me smiling on the first picture. I was happy that day but there could be also times when I’m smiling but feel anxious. On the second picture I was crying and feeling anxious which was last weekend because I feel again pressure to get a job I don’t want because of my family. At the end, we have to decide what’s best for us. Anyone can give us an advice but only we know what our heart wants.

You see that you can never judge someone just based on how they look like. Someone can be smiling but feeling bad. We don’t know the struggles someone is facing so we always have to be kind. Someone can hide a lot behind a smile. Mental illnesses and other invisible illnesses are real. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I wish people would understand that better or at least try to show some empathy and compassion. That’s what I need, you need and the whole world needs right now. We need to able to feel our feelings, show them and then eventually we can let them go. I’m blessed to have my family, friends both online and in real life who care about me. I’m so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You all mean the world to me πŸ’žπŸ™

You are not alone.
You are so loved.
You are allowed to feel your feelings.
You are allowed to cry.
You are allowed to be angry.
You are allowed to take up space in this universe.

You don’t have to do this alone. If we all look after each other we could definitely make this a better world to live in. We would feel less alone in our struggles, pain and though times in life. Let’s walk this journey together, step by side, side to side. We are all in this together.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I love to be real always. Do you find it hard to be real about your feelings in this fake world? How does social media make you feel? Any advice of the things I shared related to anxiety, the singing castings or the search for a job? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Love you all so much πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina

Music of August πŸ’—πŸŽΆ & 400 followers πŸŽ‰πŸ’ž

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

Here is another beautiful month full of amazing music! The music I loved the most in August was of course the beautiful new album Lover of my queen Tay Tay aka Taylor Swift yeahhh πŸ˜πŸ‘Έ. Let’s do this.

I also happy that I reached 400 followers which I’m so proud of. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for being there for me in the good and bad times. I will stay with you all forever. Love you so much πŸ’ž

Taylor Swift – Lover

Finally Taylor Swift released her seventh album! πŸ˜πŸŽ‰ I was waiting so long for this to happen. I loved the album Reputation but I wanted again some country and other pop songs like her older albums. I think this album really comes back to her old roots again and it is just so amazing. I loved all the songs so much. This album is about all the forms of love such as family, friends, relationships and life in general. I’m also so proud that this album is her own. Maybe, I will do a review of all the songs next month. For now I just want to share some of my favourites songs of this album. I already told you guys that I loved the song Me, YNTCM and The Archer.

It’s definitely one of my fav albums ever πŸ’žβœ¨. That’s why I also bought it which you can read in this blog post. Thank you Tay Tay for being so real, honest and always so lovely. I can’t wait to meet you one day and see you live. That would be a dream coming true. I’ve been a fan since I was 16 years old so yeah already 10 years and I will keep counting more years. I wish you so much love, happiness and luck in your personal life and in your career. I love you so much, to infinity and beyond, to the moon and back πŸŒœπŸŒ›.

Taylor Swift – Paper Rings

“I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings
Uh huh, that’s right
Darling, you’re the one I want, and
I hate accidents except when we went from friends to this
Uh huh, that’s right
Darling, you’re the one I want, and
Paper rings and picture frames and dirty dreams
Oh, you’re the one I want”

THIS SONG IS SUCH A BOP. MY FAVOURITE. I always start to dance around my home like crazyyyy πŸ’ƒ. I love the sound, the beat and asdfghjkl it makes me so happy πŸ˜πŸ˜„.

Taylor Swift – Lover

This is just such a beautiful and romantic song πŸ’˜. I love the video too as it describes her life. You can see the house with all the different rooms with represents her albums, her different eras. This song would be perfect for a dance on a wedding πŸ’’ πŸ€΅πŸ‘°. It sound so sweet and it’s just such a good love song. Also her whole album makes me feel in love even though I have no lover lol. I’m so alone πŸ˜”πŸ˜‚.

Taylor Swift ft. Dixie Chicks – Soon you’ll get better

Ooh-ah, soon you’ll get better
Ooh-ah, soon you’ll get better
Ooh-ah, you’ll get better soon
‘Cause you have to

And I hate to make this all about me
But who am I supposed to talk to?
What am I supposed to do
If there’s no you?

This song makes me so emotional and I cried when I first heard it. It’s a beautiful country song. It’s about Taylor’s mom who has cancer. She got again cancer this year. I really hope she will get better. It reminds me of all the people suffering from cancer, mental illness or any other illness. I hope they all will get better soon πŸ™.

Taylor Swift – London Boy

Such a lovely and happy song! We all know that she wrote this song about her lover Joe Alwyn. I wish her so much happiness and love. She definitely deserves it all ❀️.

Ariana Grande ft. Social House – Boyfriend

From one queen to another queen πŸ‘‘. Ari released another amazing song! I love the beat and just all of it. I guess we all have one person in our life which we like but are not together with them. However, we also don’t want to see them with anyone else. It’s definitely a complicated mess.

Miley Cyrus – Slide away

“Move on, we’re not 17
I’m not who I used to be
You say that everything changed
You’re right, we’re grown now”

AMAZING SONG. Miley is back and I’m so happy! This is one of my fav songs right now. The video was released in September but the song was released in August so I will already share the official video. She’s beautiful and her voice is so goooood. I know she will keep on releasing good music. She’s on fire!πŸ”₯

Amaia – QuedarΓ‘ en nuestra mente

Amaia who is the winner from the Spanish talentshow OperaciΓ³n Triunfo 2017 will release her new album next Friday which also included this beautiful song. I love that she only release music which are her style. This may not sound like the typical pop songs but I really love it so much. It makes me feel nostalgic and she also has such a lovely and dreamy voice. I can listen to her for hours and never get tired of her voice. She’s just amazing.

RosalΓa ft. Ozuna – Yo x ti, Tu x por mi

RosalΓa is the one of the most famous Spanish artist right now and I’m just so proud of her. Her music is amazing πŸ‘. This song has so much flow and sounds so good! Ozuna is a singer who sings reggeaton music. My fav part is always LA ROSALÍAAAA.

Lola Indigo ft. Don Patricio – Lola bunny

The chorus just sticks in my head. I really like this catchy song. Lola Indigo was the first one who had to leave during the Spanish talentshow two years ago and now she is becoming one of the biggest artists in Spain and also in Latin America. She also dances so well.

Julia Michaels – Body

I just wanna love my body like you love my body
I wanna look in the mirror and tell it that it’s beautiful like you do
I wanna love my body like you love my body
Wanna make it feel like it’s incredible like you do
And I don’t see what you see
But I want to, I want to, oh
Love my body like I love your body

Her album Inner Monologue Part 2 was released in June but she just released this beautiful video of the song Body. It’s definitely one of my fav songs of her new album. We all may feel insecure about our body but we have to learn to love our bodies. We are all enough. We may not always believe that we are enough but really we are.

Julia Michaels – 17

This is also one of my favourite songs of Julia. It makes me so happy and I love the video she just released. She is so cute and I could listen to her voice for like forevah because it’s so different and raw than other artists I listen to. She’s is an amazing singer-songwriter πŸ’žπŸ‘Œ.

Cupido ft. Lola Indigo & Alizzz – Autoestima

I love this collaboration with Lola Indigo. It’s a nice song. They sing about how their parents made them a beautiful face and that beautiful people are not getting liked that much. In the video you also see that there are surrounded with trash. It’s funny hahah πŸ˜‚.

Marilia MonzΓ³n – AlgarabΓa

It’s sad that this don’t get that much views and interaction like other songs from other concursants of the Spanish talentshow. Marilia just released this happy song which I really like. AlgarabΓa means a noice produced by happy and festive voices which is a good description of her song.

Davina Michelle – Better now

“I think it’s better now, better now, let go
I’m better off, I’m better off alone
It’s time to grab my shit and leave
You clean this mess up after me
It’s better now, better now, I go”

There are not that much artists I love in The Netherlands but Davina is one of them. This song is awesome! I also love how there are two girls kissing in the video as LGBT+ representation is so important in the music industry and just always in this world we live in πŸŒπŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ. Love is love.

Ava Max – Torn

I love her other songs such as Sweet but psycho and So am I more but this song is also great. I can’t wait for more new music of her to release.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. What was your favourite song of August? Have you listened to any of these songs? Which song did you like from my post? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina

Duncan Laurence from The Netherlands won Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song Arcade!!! πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸŽ‰πŸŽΆπŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸŽ™οΈ

OMGGGG HI LOVELIES πŸ’•,

I’m so excited. I just can’t hide it. I’m about to loose control and I think I like it hahah πŸ˜‚πŸŽΆ. I just needed to write this blog post because I feel so emotional and so excited since Saturday night. I felt it already these months when I heard the song Arcade. This blog post will about how I experienced one of the best nights in my life which I will never ever forget. I will write about the victory of The Netherlands winning Eurovision Song Contest 2019 after 44 years. I will also share more about who Duncan is as a person and artist.

I’m such a eurofan and I’ve always been. I love Eurovision Song Contest so much. It’s my favourite music event of the year. I’m always looking forward to it. I’m always most looking forward to the songs of The Netherlands and Spain. I also love to hear the songs of other countries. I’m into pop, indie, latin music, some house music, classic and choir music which I used to sing in my choir and I just love music so much. It makes me the happiest person on earth 🌎😍. Going to a concert and seeing your favourite artist live is just the best thing ever. Meeting them in person and talking with them is even better. Getting a picture with them is just the best too.

I get inspired by many artists and what I find the most important thing of an artist is that they are authentic, stay true to themselves and can be vulnerable. So, the first time I heard that Duncan Laurence was going to represent The Netherlands this year I was like who?! Who is that? Normally popular and famous artists of The Netherlands go to Eurovision. Last year Waylon went and in 2014 The Common Linnets went which were Ilse DeLange together with Waylon. They song a beautiful song which ended at the second place. The song was a lovely country song called “Calm after the storm.”

The Common Linnets – Calm after the storm (Eurovision Song Contest 2014)

So first in January they said that Duncan Laurence was going to represent The Netherlands. I saw some videos of him singing in The Voice of Holland on Youtube and was already impressed by his beautiful voice. He reached the semi-finals. He had as coach Ilse DeLange.

Duncan Laurence – Sing (The blind auditions of The Voice of Holland of 2014)

Then I also listened to the video below which is especially made as an assignment for the Rock Academy. After singing in the Voice of Holland he went to the Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg. He made his own version of the song “Stolen Dance” by Milky Chance. It’s one of my favourite songs and hearing it with Duncan’s voice gave me goosebumps and makes me cry every time 😭. His voice is so pure and so beautiful. I could listen all day and all night to it 😍🎢

Another video I found on Youtube of a song he wrote called “Come back Home”

He is such an amazing singer-songwriter. I’m really so impressed. He went through a hard time during his school years because he got bullied. He got bullied because of being different. He wore braces, had glasses and a different body size. He found his passion of music through this experience. He could be himself when he was making music at home and also in the Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg. Music was his safe place where he could be his self. He also told in some interviews how he was covered in his insecurities. He was afraid to be open and vulnerable.

Writing his song Arcade in The Rock Pop Academy in Tilburg

He also said that it is important to not build a wall. It reminds myself of my own experience with bullying. I build a wall and I still haven’t break it fully like it still influences me as a person when someone is rude to me. I think often when I hear a stranger laughing that it’s about me. I still have to break this wall just like Duncan did. The most beautiful words of him during an interview in Tel Aviv in Israel where these ones:

“Don’t build a wall. Don’t focus on the ones who don’t like you, stick to the ones who like you and love you and inpire you. I tried to change myself and focused too much on the ones who didn’t like me.”

I so agree with what he said because it’s just so true. Whenever I’m with my family or good friends I feel happy because they love me for who I’m and accept me. Those are the people who you need in life and not the toxic ones. Being bullied isn’t our fault. Most of the time the bullies are insecure themselves. I wrote about my experience of bullying in this blog post. He also said that with his music he wants to be the voice for those who have a soul which is damaged by others. He is going to tell their stories and let us see that we aren’t alone. He such a bubbly, beautiful and humble pereson that I tear up 😍😭

Ilse DeLange was his coach in The Voice of Holland and always had contact with Duncan after he participated in this talentshow. Two years ago he was writing the song “Arcade”. He put that song together with other songs in a Dropbox file. Ilse heard this song and was impressed. A few months ago before Eurovision began she called him on a Sunday morning and asked him if he wanted to represent The Netherlands this year. The whole delegation of The Netherlands was impressed by this song. Of course he said YEAHHHH and then the adventure began. I don’t want to repeat myself because I already told a lot about this song in other posts like in this post. There I sang my own cover of Arcade 🎢.

β€œβ€˜Arcade’ is about a lost love. And hoping for that love to return. But it doesn’t. All the emotion, rawness, bitterness, angriness or happiness or hope that comes within that. That’s what I tried to capture in β€˜Arcade’. It is indeed a story about myself, about a love that I once lost when I was younger.”

Duncan lost someone very special in his life. This woman only turned 40 years old. She was hoping that her love came back but he didn’t. She stayed in love with her loved one until she died. Duncan wrote this song about that story. The song, lyrics, melody everything describes these real feelings and emotions. It’s so honest and vulnerable just WOW. He is naked in the clip and you can see his butt haha which is very beautiful indeed.

Duncan Laurence – Arcade (Official Music Video for Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel)

β€œWe tried to capture the vulnerability of a human being. The most vulnerable you can be is naked. Being completely nude leaves you all vulnerable in that massive water world, with the surface representing the hope and everything you long for. The struggle, the fight that comes with it to get there. That is what we try to capture.”

Since I listened to this I have had winner vibes. I knew this song could win because it’s the best song I’ve heard. I get so emotional and have goosebumps all the time I listen to this song. I’m even thinking now to get a tattoo with something of the lyrics of this song. My favourite sentence is: “Loving you is a loosing game.” I’m afraid of needles so don’t know if I will get a tattoo but this just sticks in my head. Since he released his song he was number one in the bookmakers and that didn’t change.

I watched everything from Eurovision such as all his interviews which were so nice to see. I watched the first semi-final of Eurovision last week even though he didn’t had to sing. He was singing in the second femi-final which was last thursday on the 16th of May. It was incredible and I had to cry so much. My father only watched that song with me because he doesn’t like Eurovision. I always watch it with my mother. Of course he passed through the finals which was last Saturday the 18th of May. I was so happy when they said The Netherlands as second name to pass. Normally they say it almost at the end.

Duncan performing his song Arcade during the second semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Singing Arcade during the second semi-final

He sings Arcade every time so beautiful and every time it’s different. I like that so much because you can feel the emotion. He really feels it at that moment and sings it from his heart. During the final he had to sing at the 12th place and it was even better and more beautiful than in the semi-finals. It’s just incredible how good and beautiful he sings. I feel his emotion all the time when he sings it πŸ’•. We all feel it. We can all relate to this story.

THE FINAL PERFORMANCE!!!!
The Netherlands – Live performance of Arcade from Duncan Laurence

I was so nervous and anxious this whole week too and couldn’t sleep well. It even felt like I had to sing hahah instead of Duncan who always stayed calm. I was just so excited of thinking that he could win πŸ˜‚. During the jury votes I was getting so nervous. I was happy when we got 12 points from Portugal, Sweden, France, Israel, Lithuania and Latvia. Thank you so much! Sweden won the jury votes but everyting could change during the televotes. They begin with the last country and told every country how much televotes it got. The Netherlands got 261 which made them first. I was already so excited but there was only one country left to tell them their points which was Sweden. If they got more points than The Netherlands they would have won. Duncan was so nervous and me too. We all were. At the end they said 93 points for Sweden.

THE NETHERLANDS WON YEAHHH!!!

I began to scream and cry so hard. This was definitely one of the best nights in my life. I couldn’t sleep well that night. I had also stomach cramps but I already have them these months so it’s not only because of Eurovision I guess. My father was sleeping so I didn’t scream that hard hahah πŸ˜‚. He doesn’t understand all my emotion and happiness around it. It’s just incredible that an unkown artist won with such a beautiful song. I’m also a highly sensitive person so everything makes me feel so much. I feel every emotion deep. My country, The Netherlands won after 44 years! πŸ˜πŸ‡³πŸ‡±πŸŽΆπŸŽ‰πŸŽ™οΈ I still can’t believe we are going to organise Eurovision next year. My dream is seeing it live so I hope I can get tickets. My dream was also to see The Netherlands or Spain win so I’m so happy and so proud! πŸ’ͺ

His winner’s performance was so emotional too. Hearing the crowd singing the song is just the best feeling ever. He also was looking up to the sky because he sings this song to the one he lost.

Duncan wrote history. Everyone knows him now. His song is number one in many iTunes charts. I will never get tired of this beautiful song or of him. I love him so much πŸ’—. I’m so grateful to have a new artist in my life who I admire so much. He is already writing more songs so I can’t wait to hear them. I also would love to see him live. All his concerts are sold out now. His voice makes me crack my soul open and make me feel so many feelings. I have to admit that this song also reminds me of my break up with my first love πŸ’” I kept hoping after I lost him that he would come back but until today he didn’t. Maybe that’s why I get so emotional with this song. I can still feel how my heart broke but I also feel the hope in this song. There will be new people to love and experiences to live.

Duncan kissing the trophy of Eurovision. He really deserved to win!
“This is for dreaming big, this is to music first, always!” – Duncan Laurence

Thank you Duncan for being real and from growing from a wallflower to a beautiful artist who stand for things. He is bisexual and open about it. He told about his bullying experience. He is honest. He is vulnerable. I’m so thankful that you are real in this sometimes fake and dark world. Thank for coming in our lives. You give me hope in my life to reach my dreams 🌠✨. Thank you for making us happy and feel inspired. You are one of my fav artists now. I will never stop loving you 🎢. Loving you is a winning game! 😍✨ i love u forever cutieeee πŸ’—

In Tel Aviv, Israel. He such a cutie just look at him. I get so angry that kids bullied him because he is such a beatiful person inside & out.
Duncan singing live an acoustic version of Arcade on De Wereld Draait Door before he went to Israel

Life wouldn’t be the same without music. It makes us feel things, we feel less alone and it will never leave us. I will also keep singing as I love to sing. I don’t know if being famous is something for me but joining a choir again or having singing classes would be amazing. I would love to learn guitar or piano too one day. I miss that so much to be honest 😭. With singing I can release emotions and it makes me so happy 😍

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I hope you find this post as inspiring as I found it to write it. What do you think of the song Arcade and the story behind it? Did you watch Eurovision? Do you also tear up with beautiful songs? Let me know lovelies. I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina

Loving you is a loosing game πŸŽΆ

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

It’s time again for a singing cover 🎢. I once shared a cover from the song Supermarket flower by Ed Sheeran in this post. I hope you all like this cover I made a few days ago. As a eurofan of Eurovision Song Contest I wanted to make a cover of Arcade from Duncan Laurence who will represent The Netherlands in Eurovision this year πŸ’—πŸŽΆπŸ‡³πŸ‡± .

You can listen to my cover here:

Cover Arcade – @itsduncanlaurence πŸ’—πŸŽΆπŸ‡³πŸ‡± . I spent all of the love I've saved We were always a losing game Small-town boy in a big arcade I got addicted to a losing game Ooh, ooh All I know, all I know Loving you is a losing game @itsduncanlaurence will represent The Netherlands with this beautiful song called Arcade in Eurovision Song Contest this year. Thursday is the second semi final and I hope that Duncan will go to the finals and of course win Eurovision! Every time I listen to this song I get emotional and cry. It makes me feel so much. All the feels. It's a beautiful song and has a beautiful melody which I can't get out of my mind. The lyrics is so good too. Duncan is an amazing singer songwriter. I love him because he is so down to earth, bubbly and sensitive πŸ’• He is such a cutie. Everything about this song and about him is WOW. I can imagine how many people can relate to this song and get emotional when they listen to it. The videoclip was made in the water. His inspiration came from a loved one that passed away at an early age. She was hoping for her loved one to come back but he didn't. Arcade is a story about the search for the love of your life. It’s about the hope to reach something that seems unreachable. The water surface in the video represents the hope. The nude reflects the vulnerability and perhaps the rebirth from the hope. We all can relate to this story in our own lives too like when a dream can't be reached, when someone is dying or when you heart is broken and you are still longing for that person to come back. I really do hope The Netherlands wins after 44 years with this unbelievable beautiful song which gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. If a song can make you feel so much emotion and if the singer also brings that emotion to the audience then for me it's definitely a winner πŸ†πŸ˜ I really want to be able to see The Netherlands and also Spain win Eurovision Song Contest for once in my life. Good luck Duncan! Whole Europe already loves you as you are still number one in the bookmakers. I guess that's already a good sign. I can't wait for Thursday and Saturday! πŸŽ‰πŸ‡³πŸ‡± Let's gooo and win yeahhh! πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Reflection on 2018 & happy new year to you all! πŸŽ‰βœ¨πŸ’•πŸ’«

Hey lovelies πŸ’•,

Happy new year to you all! βœ¨πŸŽ‰ In this post I will talk about my 2018 and will show you how I celebrated New Year’s Eve. I’m glad I don’t have a cold amymore but just tonight I got my period so yeah that also sucks 😭 I’m glad I take medication for the cramps because otherwise I wouldn’t survive it. Besides, I’m also being anxious about my appointment of getting one of my wisdom teeth pulled out this week. I keep postponing the appointment. I know I have to do it but I’m so scared. H e l p. I also don’t want to do it in Holland. Here in Spain it’s much cheaper and the dentist understands my anxiety but I’m still so afraid and I just feel like I can’t cope. If anyone have some more tips to survive it I will be forever grateful πŸ™πŸ’• I can always take medication for anxiety if that’s enough to help me cope with it.

IMG_20181228_221316.jpg

We are already in 2019. A year has flown by. As usually I want to reflect on my year with this post and also write some important things for you all. Every year has its ups and downs. Every year consists of good things and bad things which happen to us. The most important thing is how we react to all these things. I know how hard it’s to stay positive in this sometimes dark world. I just keep believing that there are so many good things in the world and that there are indeed so many good people. You just have to find your tribe. I’m so glad I did.

I’m so happy with my blogging community, mental health community, Yoga Girl community and the goddess revolution community. I’m thankful that I joined these communities this year. They made me feel less alone and so much happier. If I’m in Holland I will maybe go to a meet up with some yoga girls. I also really wish that we will continue to all be friends and hopefully one day we will all meet ✨ I know the universe brought us all together for a reason which is to be connected with awesome people, share our struggles and feel supported.

I learned a lot this year. I learn every day from this world. This year I realized that there are truly lovely people who care about you and want you to be happy. I learned that it’s better to have a few good friends than a million of fake friends. The ones who love you will always be there for you no matter what. I learned that true love exists when I saw my brother getting married in August in Spain. I learned that this life is an adventure. Sometimes we win and sometimes we loose. We learn from every experience. I also learned that it’s okay if I’m not where I want to be in life. I still have a long way to go. I will find a career I love and will keep growing. It all takes time, pacience and trust in myself. I have to love myself, believe in myself and know that I can make my dreams come true such as working and living in Spain ✨

I also went to my first feminist strike in Valladolid, in Spain on International Women’s Day on the 8th of March with my mother. This was such an empowerful event. I never went to a demonstration before. I really wish 2019 will be the year that less women will be suffering from violence. I wish that women and men have the same human rights. Together we are starting a revolution. This is just the beginning. 2019 will be the year where women can be themselves, love themselves and love each other πŸ’•

This year I also learned that music is the best thing in life 🎢 I would be lost without music. I went to so many amazing concerts such as the OperaciΓ³n Triunfo 2017 concert in Madrid with my friend Maria πŸ’• OperaciΓ³n Triunfo makes me so happy and full of life. I also enjoyed the concert of Pablo Alboran, Chenoa, Hombres G and Celtas Cortos with my mother in Valladolid. I also enjoyed so much the concert of Sofia Ellar with my friend Maria. I can’t wait to see her again. It was so lovely to meet Sofia and get a picture with her. She’s the best and I can’t wait to see her singing again 😍

This year I began to read again a lot which I loved to do so much when I was younger. I will continue reading this new year. I also kept writing and being creative. I hope to create more amazing content on this blog. Writing is amazing. I travelled to Madrid, Granada, Santander and Somo. I discovered Somo which is a beautiful surfing village in the north of Spain. In 2019 I really want to go to a surf camp again πŸ„β€β™€οΈπŸŒŠπŸŒž. I didn’t go surfing for more than two years. I miss it so much. It’s also so good for my mental health. The sea is my home and cleans my soul. The beach is my favourite place on this earth. I can’t wait to travel to more amazing places and meet more amazing people.

Maybe for some of you this year was a hard year. Maybe some of you have lost someone close to you. Maybe you just didn’t felt okay and were struggling. I’m here for you. It’s okay to grief. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to feel sad. Feelings change and emotions change but it all takes time. Try to not be hard on yourself next year. Remember, I’ll will always be there for you πŸ’• I hope you will invest in self love and self care this new year because that’s the most important thing that matters. I also encourage you all to surround yourself with people who love you and who bring you only good vibes because you deserve that ✨.

I celebrated my New Year’s Eve in Valladolid, in Spain. I decided to not go out with my friends. I also didn’t go out last year. I used to party every year but I don’t feel in the mood anymore. I have to do what feels good to me. I went to the hairdressers in the afternoon to cut the dead ends, my bangs and they made curls in my hair. I love to look good for myself. I dressed up at home and did my make up. My mother and I went to the house of the mother of the wife of my brother. We celebrated all together New Year’s Eve: Rafael, my mother, VΓ©ronica, VΓ©ronica’s mother and her brother. We enjoyed eating delicious Spanish food.

We ate cheese, jamon serrano, chorizo, bread and chicken. I didn’t eat the fish because I don’t like fish so much haha πŸ˜‚ At 12 o’clock we watched the television and ate the 12 grapes. We also had champagne πŸ₯‚. It’s a tradition in Spain to eat the 12 grapes. They say it brings luck. We watched television where we were hearing beautiful music and we played Spanish card games. I really loved it so much. I love playing games with my family. At 3.30 am my mother and I went home and we stayed in watching some television. We went to bed at 6 am pretty late but doesn’t matter because it’s a special night. I’m glad I didn’t go out because as soon as we were home I got my period haha. On New Year’s Day we just stayed in and chilled. I saw the movie Grease. I just love that movie & the music so much 😍 I also saw the movie Paper Towns which I love so much from John Green. I already saw this movie with my best friend one day and loved it.

l wish you all an amazing new year full of love, happiness and luck πŸ€βœ¨βœŒοΈ Stay strong & stay safe. We are all in this together πŸ’ͺ I love you all so so so much ❀️. Thank you all for reading. How was your New Year’s Eve? Did you stay at home or did you went to a party? Which are your goals or dreams to achieve in 2019? I would love to know. I will speak to you all soon in my next blog post.

Singing cover: Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran πŸŽΆπŸ’•πŸŽ€

Hey lovely bloggers πŸ’•,

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments in my last blog post. I’m so happy you all like my blog so much. I’m so happy with the endless support I get from you all. It really means the world to me 😍 I will keep continue creating and writing content. I will also try to write about new things. To celebrate my 1 year of blogging I will share in this blog post my first singing cover. In another blog post in the future I will tell you more about my love for singing and more covers. I even am thinking of making a Youtube channel to share there covers aswell as on my blog but I’m a bit nervous about that. I don’t know if I will do that. I’m not a professional singer. I just love singing so much. I just still feel awkward recording me videos hahah πŸ˜‚.

I sing all my life. I sang in a choir for 11 years in The Netherlands and really loved it. Singing is really one of my biggest passions. Singing is so calming and music just makes me so happy. Music is life ❀. In this blog post I will share a cover of β€œSupermarket flowers” by Ed Sheeran. I already shared the cover on my Instagram for my blog. The lyrics is so beautiful. I especially love the sentence: β€œA heart that’s broke is a heart that’s been loved.”

This is such a beautiful and emotional song and one of my favourites of Ed Sheeran. I’m a fan of Ed Sheeran for so many years and I saw him singing live one day when he came as surprise act at the concert of Passenger. I can’t wait to go to a concert of him alone too. This song is about his grandmother who passed away. This song is for all the people who have lost someone. Your loved one is an angel and will live forever in your heart. I’m here for you all πŸ™πŸ’•πŸŒΈ

You can watch my cover here below:

Thank you all for reading. I like to share new things on my blog.Β Did you like my cover? Would you want that I share more singing covers on my blog/youtube? Let me know πŸ˜„ I will speak to you all in my next blog post.

Much love,

OperaciΓ³n Triunfo concert: 16 March 2018 & post concert depression πŸŽΆπŸŽ€πŸ’œ

Hey lovelies 😍,

Today I’m going to share with you all my experience of the concert of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo in Palacio Vista Alegre in Madrid where I went last Friday with my lovely friend Maria. OperaciΓ³n Triunfo is a Spanish talentshow like X Factor, The voice, Idols. I love these singing contests so much because I love singing. I always wanted to enter too but I think it’s not my thing. I would be too anxious. I prefer to sing for fun. Being famous wouldn’t be my thing too. I prefer to have a private life than have million gossips about me written.

OperaciΓ³n Triunfo was on television from October till the beginning of February. There were 16 participants who were living in an singing academy where they could not have contact with anyone outside the academy. They had a special phone where they could share pictures on Instagram but couldn’t see the likes or comments. Once in a while they had a call with their family and at the end they could leave for Christmas for like two days. Their families also visited the academy once when there were only 5 finalists left. Every week there was a live show and there would be two nominations where one would leave the academy. Every week during the liveshow the public had to choose which one they prefer to stay for one week more in the academy.

These are the 16 participants of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo

The public Spanish television RTVE was really happy about the boom of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo. For many years it wasn’t on television anymore and now it came back. It was a huge success. Therefore, they had chosen the representants of Spain for Eurovision from OperaciΓ³n Triunfo. This was a special liveshow. I was so happy that Tu canciΓ³n (written by RaΓΊl Gomez) was chosen. Amaia & Alfred are going to represent Spain with this beautiful song. Amaia & Alfred together with Aitana are my favourite singers from this talentshow. Amaia & Alfred sang together the song City of stars during the third liveshow. Right in that moment they felt in love with each other. It’s such a beautiful story. Now, they are going together to Eurovision. Tu canciΓ³n is a beautiful song too. It’s incredible how much I feel every time I hear this song. The melody is beyond beautiful and the words really mean something. I cry all the time when I hear this song. They sing the sentence β€œI feel like I’m dancing for the first time.” Love is beautiful and doesn’t need a language. Amaia and Alfred are pure magic and love. They are artists ❀

City of stars – Amaia & Alfred ❀

They make me wanna believe again in love. Love is the reason why we are living. Love doesn’t know any borders. Love is just the best thing ever and it’s even more beautiful when two people meet each other through music ❀ Just like Amaia and Alfred sing and with their eye contact and smiles, they tell us everything. I loved the kiss at the end. I don’t care how well this song will do in Eurovision because I know Europe will love them. They are already winners for me and you have my heart. I will forever be fan of Amaia and Alfred because of your emotion and passion for music. I love you till infinity and beyond ❀

This is the videoclip of Tu canciΓ³n from Amaia & Alfred who will represent Spain in Eurovision in Portugal this year. The videoclip is so damn beautiful 😍 It demonstrates their love story πŸ’• They are also flying like Peter Pan at the end. Music who makes me feel something is for me the best music ever 😍

The winner of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo was chosen in the beginning of February during the final liveshow and was Amaia. Amaia is the deserved winner of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo 2017. She studies music & piano since she was little. Every time I hear her singing, I’m in love ❀ She is just full of emotion. I love how she is always so authentic, honest and real. I hope she will stay this way. She has such great values and such a lovely family. I really hope to meet you one day and get the chance to speak to you, give you a letter and take a picture with you. She means so much to me. I love you forever and I wish you all the best my darling ❀ I can’t wait to give you a hug one day.

I love this song from Florence and the Machine so much. This is my favourite song. Amaia sang Shake it out during the 9th liveshow of Operación Triunfo. It was definitely her best perfomance ever! ❀

Now, OperaciΓ³n Triunfo is doing a concert tour through whole Spain. The 16 singers are going to perform in many different cities in Spain. The first concert was on the third of March in Palau St. Jordi in Barcelona. I’m in love with all the 16 beautiful participants. They are all so talented. It’s not only the talent which made us fell in love with them. It’s their values, their honesty and sensitive hearts too. Raoul & Agoney kissed each other during the concert of Barcelona and said the sentence: β€œLove, Liberty and Visibility.” Marina showed on Spanish television that love is love and kissed her boyfriend which is transgender. Aitana showed that you can be friends with a boy named Cepeda. Real friendship exists. Alfred showed us that you don’t have to be ashamed of having a mental illness. He has anxiety and depression. He also donates money and is always thinking about making this world a better place to live in. Together with Amaia they showed us that real love exists and that’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Amaia showed us that shaving is a beauty standard and that women don’t have to shave just to look beautiful. Amaia also showed us that we should all fight for feminism. Roi showed us that the best thing in life is to laugh and make jokes. Everything is better with good humor. They learned us so many important lessons which I’m forever thankful of.

Last Friday (16-03-2018), I went to the concert of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo in Palacio Vista Alegre with my spanish friend Maria. It was awesome! It was definitely one of the best nights in my life ❀ It was such an unforgettable night. I have never seen so many police men, cars and even dogs as security. It always makes me a bit anxious but it’s better to have enough security and be safe. They sang 37 songs from the liveshows. They sang some songs all together, some duos and some alone.

My favourite songs were:

  • Shake it out – Amaia
  • Miedo – Amaia
  • Chandelier – Aitana
  • Issues – Aitana
  • Con las ganas – Amaia & Aitana
  • No puedo vivir sin ti – Aitana & Cepeda
  • Shape of you – Amaia & Roi
  • La bikina – Ana
  • Lo malo – Aitana & Ana
  • City stars – Amaia & Alfred
  • Tu canciΓ³n – Amaia & Alfred
  • Que nos sigan las luces – Alfred
  • A quiΓ©n le importa – All together
  • Camina – All together
  • La revoluciΓ³n sexual – All together

Miedo – Amaia during the concert of Madrid ❀

Chandelier – Aitana during the concert of Madrid ❀

Shape of you – Amaia & Roi during the concert of Madrid ❀

Tu canciΓ³n – Amaia & Alfred during the concert in Madrid. I loved the kiss. They are so cute together ❀

Camina – All together ❀ They have all made this song which is the hymn of OperaciΓ³n Triunfo 2017

We had such good seats: just in front of the stage. There was one moment in the middle that I felt a bit anxious to have a panick attack but fortunately that feeling went away fast. The concert began at 21.30 till 00.00. There were 15.000 people omg!!! We took a taxi from the hotel to the Palacio Vista Alegre because otherwise we would have been too late. There was a big row to enter but we skipped it half way hahha xD. I love the organisation more in The Netherlands than in Spain. It was kinda chaotic. I also felt sometimes that the girls who were sitting near to us were laughing about us. It wasn’t true at all but my anxiety makes me always think about those stupid things…. I also always use ear plugs for concerts or parties because otherwise I will hear a noise in my ear or my ears ringing which cause me anxiety. Sometimes I feel ashamed for wearing it but nobody sees it because I have long hair. Besides, my health is more important than other people’s opinions. During a concert nobody is judging you. They are just enjoying the music.

I have never went to a concert with so many artists. Those 16 participants from Operación Triunfo are just so awesome! ❀ They are real artists and have so many beautiful values and beautiful voices. It was a concert full of magic & love <3. Raoul & Agoney also kissed each other during the concert after they sang together Manos vacias. Love is love <3. Amaia & Alfred also kissed each other too after singing Tu canción. It was such a beautiful concert ❀ Thank you all for an unforgettable night. I cried, I danced, I sang and I felt so alive. I live for concerts because music makes me feel so alive which is the best feeling ever ❀❀❀

Pictures which I have made during the concert ❀

One of my favourite moments during the concert was when Alfred was singing the song β€œQue nos sigan las luces”. I love his voice, his beautiful values and how he can light up this whole world. He sang this song which means that the lights have to follow us. I loved that moment so much. Seeing all those beautiful lights and hearing this song was so damn beautiful. I felt so happy and alive. You are an amazing artist. I love Alfred so much ❀ They ended the concert singing all together la revoluciΓ³n sexual which means sexual revolution and means that love has no boundaries. Love is love. They ended with some awesome confetti in the air ❀

Que nos sigan las luces – Alfred during the concert in Madrid. Beautiful lights and a beautiful song sang by a beautiful boy ❀

I made this collage of pictures which I made during the concert. On the picture on the left you can see “Tu canciΓ³n – Amaia & Alfred”. I bought two shirts online for the concert. I lend my friend Maria a shirt with the text: “Ah I don’t know, buah what a horror”. Amaia always said that during the contest hahah. My shirt has a picture of Amaia & Alfred with the text “I feel like I’m dancing for the first time.” That’s what they sing in the song Tu canciΓ³n. On the picture on the right you can see them all together singing “Camina”. The picture right below is where they sing all together “RevoluciΓ³n Sexual”.

After the concert we went to the hotel in Madrid which was just a half hour away. We got a bit lost but fortunately we could find the hotel and were there at 1.00 o’clock. It wasn’t that late but we stayed up until 3 o’clock watching all the pictures & videos made of the concert. We felt so happy, emotional and just all emotions together. On Saturday evening we went home to Valladolid. Since that day I feel a bit empty, lost and sad. I guess it’s also because I have a cold and my period together. I will never ever forget this concert. I want to relive it again. They are going to Valladolid in June so maybe I will go to this concert too with Maria. I have “post concert depression” which is the feeling you get the day after you went to a really fantastic concert.

Symptoms include:

1. The desire to relive the concert.
2. Thoughts similar to β€œThe band were right here!” or β€œI’m never going to see them again”
3. Emotional pain when listening to the band’s music.” (Source: Urban Dictionary)

The best remedy to cure this is to buy again concert tickets hahah. I love going to concerts so much. I’m so happy that even though I suffer from anxiety I can go to concerts where they are millions of people. Never stop doing the things you love to do. I love going to concerts and anxiety will not make me stop going. I can’t wait to see you all again!!! ❀ I love you all so so so much! ❀

For a few seconds me and my lovely friend Maria are famous hahah!!! We were on Spanish television: news of RTVE. Hahaha you can see us in this video. I’m the one with the flower headband and next to me you can see my friend Maria.

You can watch the video on my Instagram where I shared it.

Thank you all for reading this blog post. I think this is my longest blog post ever so I’m sorry if it’s too long but I just enjoy talking about OperaciΓ³n Triunfo because it makes me so happy and music is just the best thing in life. Music unites people ❀ Only good vibes! In my next blog post I will write a travel post with some beautiful pictures of my trip to Madrid. Madrid is a beautiful city. I encourage anyone to go to this beautiful city one day! πŸ˜„

5 reasons why I love going to concerts πŸ˜πŸŽΆ

Hey lovely bloggers 😍,

I love to write about mental health but I also love to write about other things on my blog. I love to write about all the things I love to do in life such as going to concerts, reading, singing, surfing, photography, travelling and much more. This blog post will be about 5 reasons why I love going to concerts. I have been to a lot of concerts in my life such as: Alvaro Soler, Enrique Iglesias, Ron Pope, The Script, Ellie Goulding, The XX, Sean Koch Trio, Odesza, Avicii, La Oreja De Van Gogh, David Otero, Gente De Zona, Don Omar, Boyce Avenue, Chef’s Special, Passenger and Ed Sheeran came to sing one song which was awesome!, The Vaccines, Huecco, Miss Caffeina and many more.

This year I already bought concert tickets to go to the concert of Operacion Triunfo next month. This is a Spanish singing contest, a talentshow. Last Monday it ended. I will post a blog post about this contest another day. The concert will be in Madrid with the 16 participants. I can’t wait to see them all live with my lovely Spanish friend Maria! ❀ I also will stay two days in Madrid which is awesome. Madrid is one hour away by train from Valladolid. Last weekend 4 participants of Operacion Triunfo went to Valladolid to sign cd’s. I was in the row for three hours in the cold but I survived and got my cd signed! It was an amazing experience to meet these beautiful people and I gave them some cards which I wrote for them. I also took pictures with them and one girl named Thalia gave me two kisses on the cheek like a friend greeting in Spain. That was so damn cute! ❀

This was last weekend when I got my cd of Operacion Triunfo signed. Roi, Thalia, Mireya and Marina from Operacion Triunfo came to Valladolid. It was so nice to meet them and take pictures with them! ❀ I loved the good vibes πŸ˜€

I also bought tickets to see Pablo Alboran which is also a famous Spanish singer. This concert will be in Valladolid, my home city on the second of June. Just one day after my birthday which is the first of June. This is an amazing present for me because I always wanted to go to his concert! He sings so beautiful and his songs are really beautiful ❀

Here are my 5 reasons why I love going to concerts:

1. The good vibes

Even though I get sometimes a bit anxious about being in rows and about the crowd, I really enjoy concerts so much. I will never sit or stand in the front with all people but just at a place where I can watch the concert and feel comfortable. I love the good vibes at a concert. Everyboody is happy to see their favourite artist live. Everybody is just so at peace and happy and nobody is judging you. I really love that so much. I also love when everybody is singing the song which the artist is playing and you can just feel how everybody connect with each other through the music. I also forget the whole world around me during a concert and I’m just enjoying that moment. During a concert you forget the problems you have in life and you just enjoy life ❀

2. Making new friends

At a concert it’s easy to make new friends and make connection with people. Everybody is there for the same reason. We are all fans. I love to meet new people with the same music taste. I love that soooo much. Last weekend, during the day of signing cd’s from Operacion Triunfo I met some lovely girls and made friends. It was so nice to talk to them about who they like from Operacion Triunfo and be connected. Music definitely connects people.

I met this lovely girl called Ines last weekend when I got my cd of Operacion Triunfo signed. I also met her friend Sandra. It’s so nice to meet new people who share the same music taste ❀ I love to make new friends πŸ™‚

3. Music is life

I just can’t live without music. Imagine life without music…. That would be definitely a hell. Music is always there for you, in good and bad times. Sometimes I can’t find the rights words to explain how I’m feeling at that moment. Then I will find a song which explains exactly what I’m feeling at that moment. I think that’s really awesome. Music unites people from all over the world in a beautiful way. Music will always be there for you when you are feeling bad and cheer you up. Music will be there when you are happy and you can sing all the lyrics loud out and dance to your favourite songs. I’m so happy music exists ❀ The world is more beautiful with music! ❀

4. Meeting your favourite artist

Sometimes when you are in a concert you can meet your favourite artist, talk with them and take pictures with them. I got to meet Alvaro Soler, David Otero, Ron Pope, Rosana and some participants from Operacion Triunfo. This was definitely so awesome! I could take pictures with them and let them sign me a card or a cd. I loved to meet them all especially Alvaro Soler because the concert was in a little theatre and we had time to talk to him afterwards. With the other artists, we all had to rush and take a picture and byebye. I said to Alvaro Soler that my mother was born in Valladolid and more stuff and it was so nice and he was so cute and asdfghjkl ❀ Meeting your favourite artist after being fan after such a long time is definitely one of my favourite experiences of going to a concert ❀

12052374_10203709746663923_857377888669353433_o

Me and my friend Shams went to the concert of Alvaro Soler. We sang all the songs out loud and were so happy when at the end we could finally meet him and made some pictures with him. He also signed his picture and talked a bit with us. I still have all these memories in my room and will forever cherish them ❀

5. The awesome memories you make

The awesome memories you make during a concert will always stay with you. All my life I will go to concerts with my friends and family. I always make videos and pictures during a concert to cherish this beautiful moments with my friends and family forever. You will never forget that day that you finally saw your favourite artist live. It’s just so awesome to remember that forever.

I hope you all like this blog post. To which concert did you all go? Do you also enjoy going to concerts so much? I would love to receive your comments and thoughts about this. Thank you for reading my blog post and will talk to you all in my next blog post!

Love you all so much! 😍

Much love πŸ’•,

xoxo Christina
